A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has urged those nursing presidential ambitions in 2027 to bury the thought.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe said President Bola Tinubu would remain occupant of the Aso Rock after 2027, stressing that there would be no vacancy for a new president.

He wrote, “Those of you scheming and dreaming for 2027 should go and rest . There is no vacancy in Aso Rock until PBAT clears the huge and monumental Augean Stable that has accumulated for years now. Nigeria is being reworked to work again.”

This is coming amid speculations that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the last election, Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, are forming an alliance to sack Tinubu in 2027.

Meanwhile, the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has alleged there is a gang up against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Igbokwe alerted Nigerians on the alleged gang up against Tinubu in a post via his Facebook page, stating that those responsible for it had been calling him on the phone.

The APC chieftain, however, expressed confidence that President Tinubu would overcome the obstacles ahead of his re-election bid.

He wrote, “There has been a funny/ crooked gang up against PBAT come 2027. They have been calling my phones.

“The callers even mentioned the names of the schemers and l laughed until tears started coming out of my eyes. They do not know about PBAT.”

Boasting like this is what led to the downfall of PDP.

Jonathan and the people trying to enjoy the frills of the Presidency said there was no vacancy in Aso Rock.

PDP Chairman then, I think Ogbolafor or whatever his name was, said that PDP will rule Nigeria for the next 60 years. God spared his life to see that they could not win the next 2 elections. The man himself is dead today.

Abacha had vision 2000, vision 2010 but look at life, 3 people were Presidents after him. Add Abubakar and that is 4. Out of the 4, 1 of them did not even complete his term. He died in office.

Nothing is assured. That is one of the greatest mysteries of life.

I have noticed this disgraceful trend in African countries where the party in power at national, state and local governments level will be telling the opposition that there is no vacancy

They say this because they know that elections are subject to manipulation. If elections were credible and the people's votes counted, would you come out to make this 'no vacancy' statement? Of course not because you know that the people might turn around to punish you at the polls for taking their votes for granted

Ot is because you know that people's vote don't count that you can come put arrogantly decree that a political office holder is guaranteed to remain in office
