In the geopolitical zones there is nothing like middle belt. We only have north east, north west anf north centre which all made up the northernern state.

Ilorin or Kwara State is not a yoruba state same with kogi. All this are not yorubas but belongs to tjr northern minority ethnic groups and they must be protected and respected

Kwara is an absolute Yoruba State zoned into northern geopolitics, Ilorin only has grains of Fulani and in fact as 'Emir' (again, e get why).
There's a reason you hear 'Ilorin Emirates' and not 'Kwara Emirates' because their only foothold is only within Ilorin of the entire '123' towns in Kwara. Some border towns have a few other non-Yoruba/Fulani people as well, consistent with most States that share borders with other tribes.

Kogi has a handful of Yoruba towns and people but consist largely of Ibira people and, maybe others.
Kogi is only part-Yoruba but not a major one like Kwara.
