If you knew how he got to power, you would shake your head. Nobody was willing to fly the labour party's ticket because that constituency is on lockdown for the PDP. He came a distant second in the election, the PDP guy victory was upturned by the court of appeal cos of the structure issue. However, regardless of whether he stays in labour party or not, he can't return to the NASS.

The guy is a one term member; that he knows very well hence his decision

Nigerian lasw allow elected officials to change party, that's the law. You might not like it but that's the law.
There are many laws here in the US that I don't agree with but those are the laws that I have to abide by.
The US constitution allows a convicted felon like Trump to run for President of the country, but that will not be possible in most countries.
Well, that's the law of the USA. we have to live by it even though I don't agree with it.
