Asking God in Faith

When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for” (Mark 11:24 GNT).

Danielle Strowman needed a job after college. She had met an uncle of hers who worked at the council as a legislator to help her. Her uncle made a promise to her that in a month's time he would employ her into his cabinet to work along side him. She was very happy and thanked him graciously even when the appointment had not yet been confirmed.

Faith is a very beautiful thing. We want a particular thing and we ask God for that which we want and then thank him for what he is yet to do. We do not ask God we want a job and then doubt that he is going to give it to us. We believe and rest in his capacity to get it done for us. Faith is believing God and then thanking him in advance for what he would do for us. That is the beauty of faith.

When you thank someone for what they have done already it is gratitude but when it hasn't been done yet..it is faith. Faith is thanking God in advance for what he is about to do. We must be people of faith in our walk with God. When you ask God for something you must believe that he has the capacity to do it.

When the two blind men followed Jesus they cried out for his intervention in their situations and he asked them " Do you believe ? They believed and he responded " It shall be for you as you believed. " And they began to see. When you give God your trust he will never disappoint. He will do as you have asked and believed.

Reflect on these

What have you asked God to do for you?

What are you thanking God for ?

Key Point: Thanking God for what he is yet to do is the greatest demonstration of faith

Prayer: Lord I thank you for what you will do for me over my requests. I bless you for answered prayers

What is the point of these lies you lot tell yourselves each day? undecided
23 But Jesus did not answer her. So the followers came to him and said, “Tell her to go away. She keeps crying out and will not leave us alone.”
24 Jesus answered, “God sent me only to the lost people[d] of Israel.”
25 Then the woman came over to Jesus and bowed before him. She said, “Lord, help me!”
26 He answered her with this saying: “It is not right to take the children’s bread and give it to the dogs.”
27 The woman said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the pieces of food that fall from their master’s table.”
28 Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! You will get what you asked for.” And right then the woman’s daughter was healed. - Matthew 15 vs 23- 28
The God of Israel made clear that the Bread which He had to give belonged only to the children of Israel — the bloodline of Jacob— but you ignore this all so you can deceive even in the dogs with lies of this same bread also belonging to them. Why? undecided
