Hearing tales of the civil war from our Igbo brothers and sisters who witnessed it tells tales of trauma that a people faced. This can make one emotional, even though one was not there. Describing artillery shells and how they blew off people's houses is a pain that many carry until today. Seeing malnourished children suffering and seemingly waiting to die during the war is traumatizing. It is hard to erase such pictures from one's mind. We can blame the civil war for that. But for some misguided ones to inflict pain on their own people and bring death is a sad narrative that needs to end.
May God bless you as you have written this post in such a clear and erudite manner.

That Civil war thing is apt, I remember being told how a mother was carrying her less than a year old baby with fear hiding in the bushes because if the baby had cried pem, she and the other younger kids would have been shot and killed instantly.

To God be the glory, that baby cooperated and years later he and his family have being of immense help to me in my life and career.

Per Simon Ekpa, after seeing heartrending pictures of children in school uniform on their way to school on Mondays being brutalised by his goons, I begged him to ask his followed to at least let the children be.

His response was to heartlessly ask "The ones that went to school what are they learning?"

Hopefully in that sane prison, he too sees how it feels to be brutalised.

Nnamdi Kanu is even enjoying more than Simon Ekpa. In DSS facility they even allow him to fvck his wife once in a while (I can authoritatively tell you that).

We warned, cautioned, pleaded, counselled, adviced but, it fell on deaf ears and now this.

Simon Ekpa was just an opportunist who took advantage of his own people.

Amadioha is now handling his case.

May he live to reap the evil seeds that he sowed!

In a different case, a 50-year-old prisoner stated that he had been convicted 11 times in Finland, six times in Sweden, twice in Denmark, and once in Norway, spending a total of 23 years in prison for various violent crimes, including two murders.

The stupid EKPA should be accommodate with the 50years old prisoner, let the old man teach the idiot ekpa scenes.

Stop begging for unity.
Simon Ekpa is now in prison.
Nnamdi kanu is now in prison.
Yet, The much talked about Sit at Home is still holding.
So what does that tell you?

Every now and then, an inebriated mutant will wriggle out from his/her wet rat hole to advice igbos on the need to stick with a comatose Nigeria and stop following Simon Ekpa. It used to be Nnamdi kanu. It is as if you are talking to kids.

What you guys have failed to see is the fact that the whole agitation is more like a mass movement, with the people willfully gravitating towards the leadership of the most forceful and the most anti Nigerian character.

At a time, when kanu was arrested, his colleagues at the helm of IPOB basically tried to tone things down. That was the sudden end of their relevance. You agbadorians must come to understand that you are dealing with igbos and a population well over 50 million. That is 50 million intelligent men! They should know when enough has become enough!

People are genuinely tired of Nigeria. Trying to pass off their frustrations and rejections of a failed country as unreasonable positions taken by a brainwashed mass, only adds to the litany of taunts and insults that propel those rejections and frustrations. Such never helps to win anyone over to the Nigerian side.

You should learn!
If we allow slaves to leave, who will work for us and our great grandchildren? Did you think our next generation will be happy that dot-nation,who wwre once their fathers slaves leave?

Those who supported Ekpa's cause donated money to him. Did they ever ask Simon Ekpa to give account?

He claimed he wanted to liberate his people, but he imprisoned his own people by forcing them to sit at home every Monday. People have been killed and Ekpa has come out to take responsibility for the killings. You do not liberate your own people by instilling an atmosphere of fear and death in them.

Those who support his cause, remember that many of your own people cannot go to the villages again on account of the activities of those who claim to take orders from Ekpa. Do not allow these people to destroy your land because of a liberation.

Parents too need to talk to their children. Government too needs to provide an environment for the unemployed to work. Those who funded Ekpa's activities need to have a rethink and see if their actions have helped or further destroyed their region.

Dear Igbos worldwide who believe in Biafra, STOP contributing money to causes that would inflict pain on your own people. You might be paying for your own people to be killed. Ikemba Nnewi who went to war for Biafra said he was proud to have led the first war; but he pointedly said there was no need for another one because lessons ought to have been learnt from the first one, lest the deaths would have been in vain. Ikemba Nnewi ran for President of Nigeria in 2003 which is to say he believed in Nigeria before he answered the call that we all must answer.

Your own people cannot be human sacrifice to massage the ego of some deluded ones.

Yes, you can agitate for your own republic. But killing your own people or any other cannot be the way.

Some people forget that Simon Ekpa has not been charged with any crime yet, there isn't even a court date. The fact that the Finland authorities have not charged him with any crime yet is an indication that the case against him could be weak

But beyond Simon Ekpa, Nigerians don't ask themselves why their country is the way it is. Why is their unrest everywhere? Why is there insurgency everywhere? Why is Nigeria 8th most insecure country in the world? Focusing on Simon Ekpa is to miss the point. There was a time people were calling for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the man has been in detention for 4 years, he is more popular now amongst his people than ever, and things are worse than before he was arrested. What was the point?

There are many Biafran activists based abroad who are going to come together and sponsor another person to lead the cause of Biafra if Simon Ekpa does not come out. So what's the point?

People don't ask why things like this are happening, they are more interested in arrests that won't change anything
How many people are in Finland that Finland would deliberately delay his arraignment till May 2025?
Simon Ekpa or Simon groundnut has a big case to answer. He has stepped beyond his boundaries.
A whole nation has reported him....hence his incarceration.
He is there alone and all his assets, dreams, plans gone.
Freedom is good.

One of the best write up on this agitation issue. All you stated is facts, the killing in the east have even caused others watching to disassociate themselves. Killing your own to make point only makes you barbaric, because if you can kill yours then it means you won't waste time killing off those not associated with your tribe.

Good for him. But why are Agbado taking paracetamol on Igbo people wey no send them headache while their ancestral homelands are being taken over daily by very young Fulani herdsmen in oyo , oshun, ekiti, Ondo…killing the Obas , throwing their bodies into the river, stamping their authority and sending hundreds of thousands of Yorubas into exile from their homelands to go and become refugees in Benin republic since 2021. Similar to what happened to some middle belters who Fulani deceived to fixate their heads on igbo matter as army generals in the 60s, 70s and 80s . Today their ancestral homelands from benue , nasarawa , Jos north , parts of plateau, kaduna south , taraba south etc are now firmly in control and dominance of Fulanis with emirs and sarakis installed as heads in their ancestral villages. Same thing is happening in Yoruba ancestral lands today while some of them are focused on igbos who are fighting to protect their own lands. With current trend Twenty years from today most LGAs in Yoruba ancestral homelands with be in the hands and total control of Fulani. If you doubt it ask people of plateau about what happened in Jos north. I never believed it would happen as at 2001 but it happened . Make una continue living in day dream. Sunday Igboho discovered a full village inside Oyo where Fulani herdsmen had houses , exotic cars , generators , billions of naira in cash from robberies and kidnapping but instead of support buhari and his gang forced him into exile. Some fools are day dreaming that amotekun with their Chaka- kpoo guns can match Fulani herdsmen sophisticated weapons and machine guns…smh

Very good write up ... supporters need to chew on what you are saying then look into mirror and seriously ask themselves if the person they see is helping in the oppression and killing of his own people. What I don't understand is how can one be traumatized by stories of death and destruction in the Civil War ... and yet these same people are cheering the Israeli for showering the Palestinians with death and destruction. These are the same people that love to label others as terrorists ... bjt ask them to define a terrorist they wouldn't because Simon Ekpa would fit the definition. If younare supporting Simon Ekpa you are supporting terrorism.... terrorism that has nothing to do with your liberation but everything to do with your oppression. Why would you help them to oppress you? This one is wayyy above my levels.
