Well, if people don't want you, then bye. That's how it is in reasonable countries of democracy, Nigeria included.
Nigeria is not a democracy, it's also not a country. A country that military gave u a fake and retrogressive constitution 25 years ago but so called democracy can't throw it away and make a new progressive constitution but continue to amend an unworkable and fraud constitution? That's not how a country works.

Democracy in some of these South East Asian countries is the best. It could be extreme, sometimes and they don't joke with the rule of law. China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and even Malaysia. The Western Democracy is learning democracy and rule of law where these countries are. Their institutions are extremely strong and accountable. Do anyhow, you see anyhow undecided

Now imagine lawmakers trying to impeach a Nigerian president or governor for wrongdoing, they will quickly close down the assembly building for renovation or deploy thugs to beat up lawmakers who dare initiate such move
You.made a good observation but most of the people wailing about "sane country " were supporting Fubara when he burned down the River assembly when they tried to impeach him.
The biggest problem is that most Nigerians are hypocrites. They claim they want a sane country but they will not support such sane steps when it doesn't favor them or someone they support.

Sane country is only possible when you have sane citizens not citizens that care note about themselves than the general well being of the larger society.

Are you saying, the lawmakers can seat and impeach a governor without stating his offense?

Like what crime did Fubara commit?

Martial law put Koreans into political turmoil while subsidy removal and floating of naira have put Nigerians to similar situation. Koreans were patriotic to put their leader in check with no political colouration while Nigerians are telling people why you must suffer the turmoil because we all need it.
The unpatriotic leader and unpatriotic supporters.

Typical we want a sane country but reasoning without any sanity.
It's up to the lawmakers to determine how they want to proceed with his impeachment not the Governor telling them how to proceed then decided to burn down the assembly just to prevent them from seating.
Where will they state his offenses they have been prevented from seating in the first place?
You cannot have a sane country with thinking like yours.
Next another Governor that you don't support try the same tatic, you will be saying something totally different.

Take China out of the list please. It is a Communist country not guided by pure democratic principles.

Why can't you come clean and cited the one that happened in Rivers State which you clearly clapped for because it suits your narrative instead of using Nigerian President.

Till date no body can lay hand on the impeachment notice on Fubara or you have it?

Sane country is only possible when you have sane citizens not citizens that care note about themselves than the general well being of the larger society.
Nigeria is not a banana republic. For a governor or president or their vice to be impeached, there are guidelines to initiate the impeachment. You cannot just wake up at the bad side of your bed and start calling for the impeachment of any of them. The first line is to move a motion of notice at the assembly for the gross misconduct committed by the governor. Second line is to gather lawmakers' signatures and tender same at the assembly. The third line is to write to the governor is offence (Which is called "notice of impeachment"wink. And he has a grace of 7 days to answer to their allegation.
You cannot just wake up and say you want to impeach a governor without putting him on notice. That's what is missing in Fubara's impeachment plan.

Let's even assume that your assertions are correct, Fubara should have proceeded to court not burning down the assembly and taking laws into his hands.
The same thing that happened in Rivers will sooner or later happen in another state where most of you don't support the Governor.
All these your excuses will also be used to burn down the Assembly. Those supporting Fubara now will change the tune then.
That's when they will remember that Nigeria is a "zoo", but when Fubara did it, it was ok.

Recently when it was rumored that Akpabio will be impeached, was it not DSS that was deployed to the National Assembly?

Just recently, Ghana taught us how election should be organized and now South Korea is lecturing us for the need to have a strong institutions instead of having strong men managing our affairs.
Rule of law must be respected by the Nigerian politicians.
