We are mediocre to say the least. What's this announcement about? What's the big deal over a 140 bed hospital or are we suppose to applaud government for doing the bearest minimum they are voted to do?
A state with over 18million resident, generating so much in revenue, and making announcement of every project for recognition of the governor is appalling.
What you said in this post is the summary of Nigeria politics and politicians, very unfortunate sad

Nice initiative, just hope it doesn't take 100 years to complete.

Lagos.... A country that should be on its own
Lagos is extremely blessed with visionary and forward looking leaders. It is the envy of all states in Nigeria. The enemies complain about the sea and lagoon, they complain that it was former capital. As if all these complaints were only enjoyed by Lagos. Calabar was a former capital, many states have borders with the sea. Yet they are struggling due to bad leadership. Even Abuja, despite the huge sums going there to develop it cannot be compared to Lagos. Very very soon, with this rate of development, Lagos will be matching Dubai in every sphere. I am very sure all the shanty towns of mainland will be bought over and converted to skyscrapers within the next 20 years.
And I expect Nigeria to voluntarily grant autonomy if not secession to Lagos very soon. This state of Lagos is in a world of its own.

The South West is the most PROGRESSIVE region in Nigeria, no doubt about that.

God bless Lagos.

God continue to bless YORUBALAND.

AMEN!

How do you feel after posting this nonsense? Is this what progressive means to you on this century? Indeed, the country seems irredeemable if this is how are bunch of Nigerians think. Hypocrisy of the highest order.

What then do we learn after our many years of education? The thinking of the average Nigerian on nairaland is very irritating. Very shallow views in all aspects of life.

All these turenchi is for what?
Govt property has been cornered.
Proceeds from this business will never be found in Lagos State Budget. Even if it is, the investment of the private partners will not enter govt cofers.

Tankio. For a project that has taken about 15-20yrs to do a photo op of trying to get started… so it would most likely going to take another 15-20 years to get built.
But we have sycophantic followers adulating our Politrickians for their lackluster efforts

Reading through your posts have shown you have a terrible life. You go about insulting and throwing tantrums which is an indication that you lack the mental capacity to engage in discussions.
I am not a useless as you. At least, I say it as it is. He isn't voted to go loot the treasury thus, there's no need for an applaud for doing the job he was voted for. You can rant as usual, it is needed perhaps, it will help you get the clarity you need.

It isn't about sycophant followers. The people are just ignorant people who will praise the government to soothe their narratives.
