sad
THELATTERMAN:
I'm planning to relocate to Abuja next month, that is January 2025, after completing my undergraduate study in one of the neighboring states. I'm confused about the best, most affordable place to stay.

My major needs are security, electricity, nearness to town, and affordable housing. I have been looking at Kubwa and Lugbe, but I would appreciate some input from Abuja residents here.

Note: I am on a budget. So, places like Asokoro, Utako, etc are out of it. Secondly, I'm a freelancer; hence my need for an area with a steady electricity supply.

So, where in Abuja would you suggest and why?
I will not advice you to move to Abuja if you don't have a job. Bro, prices of house hold are very expensive. If you still stay with you parents and under 30, I will advice you to stay there ooo. Learn a skill that earns money, and make sure you have upto 6million before trying another state. You need to get a stable job oo. Freelancing is not stable.

Better come to Lagos jeje...
To me Lagos is very safe..
Not all places in Lagos are expensive, there are some that are fair but then you still get the basic necessities of life as well...

As for electricity..I mean steady electricity...come to ikorodu, some certain places in ikorodu have steady light..

Like my place now, I stay in an estate, electricity is about 15-20 hours daily except if grid collapse..

Total package for a room self con is around 200k-250k total package for a good place, might not really be sophisticated but very conducive...

As a young man like me, Lagos is the best..
I work from home so I know what I am saying
Can you help me, I am currently looking for house in Lagos.

My mistake, it was Bwari that was coming to mind as I was typing. Even Kubwa is not cheap.
But bwari is very far from town. Transport from Bwari to Dutse junction where u can connect to town will be up to 1k or more if I am not mistaken

If you knew how lucrative Freelancing is, you wouldn't say this. There are freelancers that make 6 figures monthly and I'm sure OP is financially capable of moving to Abuja which is why he made this post.

Gone are those days where you'd have to leave home and go to work to earn a paltry sum of 100k or less. This is the digital era where one can make 6 figures from the comfort of their house.

lol, you wouldn't want to have that argument with me. Started freelancing since 2019, made alot of money from freelancing but it's not stable. Unless you're fully employed remotely. If it's just freelance, you can go for 2months no single client.

He's A SOUND Advice
If you are considering lugbe make sure it's an estate, if not don't bother renting an apartment not in an estate, demolition is eminent, same goes with kubwa, in fact, there are satellite villages inside the metropolis, avoid them with all your strength.

Now hear this, if you want to stay close to town and considering your budget, karu site and jikowyi phase one is your sure plug, karu site is very close to town and there light is constant too, the vibe karu site give is same like inside the metropolis ,

Again, don't you ever rent a house that is not situate inside an estate in Abuja especially lugbe and kubwa

quote me to give you a tour as soon as u arrive here, Welcome to my city,
cool
Good morning Chief, please check your mail.

Mararaba is infested with street urchins who are mostly Hausas.

That place is like Ajegunle.

I stayed at Orange Market for five years, then moved to Nyanya, then Kubwa. Presently, I stay at Asokoro, by Pastor Fatoyinbo's Church Guzape.

I've connects for self con in my area... It's N600k with steady light in the highbrow area of Guzape, Asokoro.

So that you can remove the proof next time, right? I know AI generated text when I see it. I can't give away the screening secret. Maybe you should pay for the secret if you want.
