This is one topic lots of Churches are afraid to preach. Most preach it in a mild manner. What is bad is bad.

We should be worried that Son of Men have turned the Body of Christ to market place. Pronouncing that they saw when they saw not and that they heard when they heard not

Reading comments here, it's mind-boggling how people speak as authorities on matters and people they know absolutely nothing about. Crazy..

For him not to attend Shiloh shows he still harbors grudges against the church.

Which is a sin,a good Christian should have forgiving spirit and be christlike.

How did you arrive at this conclusionhuh

Trust me, he was a silent participant in Shiloh, he is only giving way for young pastors to come on stage, another reason for his retirement. You all should shut up and stop attacking Bishop Oyedepo.

People who don't listen to Oyedepo always talk nonsense about him, Oyedepo's messages are centered around holiness and righteousness before you enjoy prosperity.

Seek ye first His kingdom
I don't agree with this your submission cos that's not what majority of Papa Oyedepos message centered on

When I recently shared a thread about how impressed I was with the spiritual depth of Bishop Abioye's teachings the first few times I ever heard them, although this particular teaching wasn't among the ones I heard but only a few days old, it perfectly illustrates my point.

https://www.nairaland.com/8269119/david-abioye-spiritual-prowess-being#132909393

The spiritual depth i spoke about with his teachings I heard so far, didn't have to do with his physical appearance, oratory skills, eloquence, verve or the tone of his voice or how appealing his message was to me as many misinterpreted, but about how much his teachings aligned with that of Christ, because Christ teachings which is what He commanded His disciples to teach all men to keep before His departure from the earth (Matthew 28:20), ought to be the standard with which the teaching of any church leader or minister was measured, not what appeals to us or what we want to hear.

So that's what impressed me about David Abioye's teachings the few times I heard them not something else.

For instance this particular teaching is Christlike and the kind of teaching Christ would be teaching if He were Himself, however I have never heard Bishop Oyedepo teaching or expressing such a concern before, despite knowing him since the late 80's and early 90's when he was yet in Kaduna up til now.

I know that he is more obsessed with getting more church members into his church and building bigger church buildings than getting souls into the kingdom of God, as was the case with most prosperity preachers, as is clearly reflected in their teachings, hence even though the church now has become filled and brimming with members than it's ever been in it's history, it's also the church that's made sinners become most comfortable in their sins instead of coming to repentance since the church began.

This is a serious concern I have always had concerning today's church and have shared here and elsewhere times without number, but many spiritually blind Christians have taken that to be an attack on the church, so it's good to see Bishop David Abioye who they view as one of their own also expressing the same concerns about today's church.

It's baffling though that it took his retirement from Oyedepo's church for us to hear such a teaching from him, which makes it seem like a blessing in disguise but just wished it happened much sooner.

God bless.

You mean u have never heard bishop oyedepo talk against unrighteousness, sanctification and living a holy life, love for God etc ...
Are u sure u listen to his sermons at all?

The Bishop Oyedepo Ive listened to preaches against living in sin and against materialism severally ... Even in the just concluded Shiloh he talked severally of how Solomon's wisdom was corrupted because of iniquity and love for what God hates.

Infact I know someone in person who was terribly addicted to drugs and womanizing but repented and got delivered from those addictions in winners. He's a very committed member and I've heard him relate his testimony severally
don’t mind that backslider pretending to be holiest, God himself said judgment will begin from his house, so whether anybody like it or not , not everybody that call him lord , lord will enter the kingdom of God , example Judas

People just don't understand the difference between preaching Christ (the good news.

Winners preach salvation, redemption, repentance without condemning you, they condemn the sin, not the person (like others do).

No church preaches sanctification like winners

I believe God has a set time for everything. Abioye exit is meant to take along those who's heart are centered around God's word. This is God set time for him.
Look at how prosperity gospel have totally isolated and cut off God's servants.

What we are observing is the sieving away of the shaft, those who have ears let them hear. Those who have eyes let them see, the church is falling confirming the word of God that says judgement will start from the Church first.

In what way has he attacked father Oyedipo by this message? So because of "one big man of God" somewhere, a preacher should not preach the truth?
