If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear. God's standard on this never changed! Back then the law or constitution in Israel says a rebellious child must be killed so as not to corrupt the other children today true Christians follow the same standard but since God's Kingdom has been taken away from the earth in 607 b.c.e. believers now live under human governments where death penalty only comes from the superior authority who don't regard God's laws. That's the purpose of DISFELLOWSHIPING the unrepentant wrongdoer {Matthew 18:15-17} we will no longer greet him not even eat with him {2John 10-11} it's like pelting such a person with stones. 1Corinthians 5:11-13 The difference is he may later repent and come back to his senses so that we welcome him back into the global spiritual family {2Corinthians 2:5-8} unlike the former law such ones have the chance to make a U-turn. |

Why didn't Jesus inform the 12 about Paul after resurrection but told them he will send the comforter. I guess the comforter is not enough too! Paul still need to come again! |
