I don't want to jump on this new DCU hype train for obvious reasons. I'll gauge each project objectively even tho I'm a DC nerd by birth. I have a bit of confidence in James Gunn sha but there is still a long way to go. Creature Commandos has been okay Soo far, nothing too special so I'll just wait till the trailer for Superman drops on Thursday before I can buy into just a little bit of hype atleast. 1 Like |

Achilles100:Yeah, A24 has a new content strategy to start churning out commercial movies just like major studios or at least like mini-majors like Lionsgate and MGM. More general audience flick. They had a string of flops last year that threatened their existence. So now they're trying everything including their infamous niche and weird films that hit them popular in the first place. But like you rightly observed there's so many A24 marketed movies this year you begin to wonder where dem see money. Tho some of them were bought by the studio and/or distribution deal (like before) albeit there's still some A24 Originals but this year output has been bonkers. |

Just saw a clip on X with Mike Tyson talking about human hunting on Joe Rogan's podcast. Make me want to watch this movie again. Downloading it tomorrow when I get to work. The world is rift so much upheaval and uncertainties at the moment...only few joys left, and i wholly believe, seeing the "Docking Scene" on a giant 70MM IMAX screen is one of such joy left.....😩😩✨

I always suspected it was done to keep the rights at WB. Cos this movie came out the blue and was pretty quick to production. I confirmed my suspicion when few months ago WB announced new LOTR live action movies with GOLLUM being the first.

Gladiator 2: 6/10. Story line is too weak, background score was wack. Aside the a action sequence on the flooded colosseum the rest action sequences are average, some of the cast weren't even necessary. It fell short of my expectations owning to the first part, the hype and trailer. Carry on: 8/10. Nice and new concept. Megalopolis: 2/10. No comment. |
