Congratulations π Adedamola Lookman has been consistent in his goal scoring in Atalanta and Super Eagles. He is unique because of his humility and respect for all peoples. He doesn't involve himself in unnecessary controversies. But his performances is a direct opposite of the Home front. Our players at domestic scene are not doing well, judging by the their performance on the continent. Their team are easy prey on the continent and are readily knocked out. Unlike the era of late High Chief Gaius Obaseki led LMC where Four Nigerian clubs qualified for semi finals of both CAF champions league and confederation competitions in 2009. Our downward trajectory started in 2014 when Amaju Pinnick took over the mantle of NFA, now NFF as Chairman. He started with abridged league which lowered the standard. Coupled with late commencement of the league. It's NPFL league that produced high-profile footballers like late Steven Keshi, Austin Eguavoen, Samson Siasia,Finidi George, Amokachi,et cetera. But it's not so today because leadership of the football Body is highly politicsed with unserious people manning it. Amaju Pinnick leveraged on the profile of the league to secure appointment with CAF and FIFA. He achieved nothing for the eight years he was at the helm of affairs. Infact, under his watch,our football regressed. He handed over to Ibrahim Gusau,his stooge and acolyte. And our fortunes nose dived further under his watch. Our continental representatives are always knocked out at preliminary stages. To crown their ineffectual leadership, only one stadium at UYO was approved for our continental representatives. NFF needs radical shake up to reposition our football which is falling to its lowest ebb. Thank you,Robosky2 for the fine reportage. Ditto naptu2. Lookman is a Nigerian Kemi Badluck is a Nigerian Both had the opportunity show the world what Nigeria is abd who Nigerians are. Kemi chooses to showcase the the ugliest wounds and make Nigeria a laughing stock. Lukman choses to the opposite, telling the world Nigeria is a land of shinning stars and unquenchable spirits.
