In conversation like this, you have to consider context. At 35, she's not young to marry. But in this context she's young, very very young. Her husband is closer to 70 than 60. If Hope married early, it's possible the first child is way older than this woman.

So yes, she's young and the age gap is not a bit wide but actually wide.
