The states under APC is the den of corruption and flagrant disobedience to the rule of law. Can the federal government or national house of assembly suspend any state government because of an allegedly misappropriation of funds?

And somebody will tell me local government council autonomy will work in Nigeria. The governors will always have their way in a subtle way.
The best answer to all this is to have strong constitution that will address each arm of government succinctly and not the backdoor pronouncement made by the supreme court.
No country grows through the back door.
It's just a subtle way of showing them the way out.

There's nothing they can do about that until the constitution is tinkered. The house of assembly is empowered by the constitution to oversee their administration.
Meanwhile, it wasn't the FG that gave them autonomy, as it wasn't within the purview of the FG to do so due to separation of powers. The Nigerian constitution should have given them the autonomy and not the supreme court. Since will like doing things anticlockwise, that is why things are not working the way they ought to be.
The national assembly need to wake up and fine-tune the administration of local government areas with specifics.

That was what I suggested when the much celebrated judgement of autonomy for the local government areas were announced by the supreme court. The pronouncement that has no constitutional backing. Until the national assembly seat and work on the constitution to reflect the desire of the people, nothing will ever changed.

It is the way our constitution is structured. The house of assembly controls the excesses of the local government areas but the national assembly doesn't control the state government constitutionally.
Operation work on the constitution to make it reflective of the desire of the people. Mere supreme court pronouncement cannot do the magic. Let the constitution specified the workings of all organs of the government and this issue will be surmounted.

But there's no where in the constitution that says they can be suspended by the SHA.And the ruling of the supreme court is in line with the constitution, that caretaker, HLGA do not have a place /not recognized in the Nigerian constitution .

The discipline of the local government chairmen is within the purview of the state assembly my brother and they've hinged their complain on misappropriation of funds.
Until the national assembly seat down and fine-tune the constitution we will continue to experience such influence from the governor and its state assembly.

In the first place, I need any lawyer in the house to explain to me what part of our laws gives state legislature the power to suspend LG chairmen.

Same aberration happened in Lagos recently

I believe the legislative council of the LGs is the ward councillors who have the power to impeach the LG chair and Vice with emphasis on impeach only and not suspend

The only reason that can make them to escape is if they were not given fair hearing, if taken to court, the court may protect them on their fundamental right to fair hearing. Aside this, nothing court can do about their suspension based on discipline because it's within the assembly purview to investigate any infraction against them.
Note, I am not in any way in support of their removal but just saying it the way it is and to also spite those celebrating a pronouncement made by supreme with no constitutional backing.
A backdoor pronouncement with no constitutional backing only retrogress the nation. Let the national assembly work on the constitution and give specifics to each organ of government.
