There is something a lot of people did not realise under GEJ when he was blamed for the inability of some states to pay the N18k minimum wage. While some states claimed inability to pay, 99% of private companies, even micro businesses with just 1 or 2 employees could comfortably pay the N18k minimum wage and the N18k had far more value then than the N70k of today. That scenario showed the general economy was good and private sector driven. |
