Witch hunting and illiteracy. The governor should have just worked with them instead of fighting the Supreme court judgement. If found guilty of the contempt of court, he should be sacked and replaced with his deputy.

Honestly it is uncalled for, the governor dont need to bother himself on how chairmen uses their monthly allocation cos the people of their various LGA are now aware. Since last month, we have started questioning our chairman about the monthly 2 b he has received so far. Petition will be followed to the relevant agency if he is unable to defend himself. All 18 local government chairmen cant possibly looted the allocations. This is pure politics and it may consume the governor if not careful. He started well, but got this one wrong.

PDP is only talking from political angle, house is empowered by law to remove both Governor and chairman the only difference is that use need the cooperation of the state chief Justice to remove a state governor but that of local government it's just simply majority of the house and the cooperation of the honorable member representing the chairman constituency

They can only challenge the reasons for their suspension but not the legality of the house because the house is empowered by law

I've done my research and I made it known when Lagos Assembly carried out the suspension of that chairman. It is patently illegal. The reason why you are asking me to do my research is because you cannot quote any part of the constitution that empowers the Houses to impeach LG chairs.
What constitution gives them power over is the funding and approval of LG budgets. And even that has been taken away by the Supreme Court

There's no law of such in the constitution, this is just political rascality, if I am one of the chairmen, I resume office and wait for them to come and enforce their suspension on me.

They should be check but this suspension is purely political. Did governor have power to ask for statements of account of local government chairmen? I don't think so.
