How will you be able to get March appointment date? Because on the appointment calendar on the Avits portal, it's not showing March, it's only showing May. It doesn't show backward months.

Oh, by being jobless, literally.

Continue checking multiple times a day, different times too. They do release dates once in a while. But those dates are for fastest finger.

So, you have to be checking regularly to be able to nick it up, if you see it.

I’m trying to change my parents interview date to July 2025 but whenever I click on the dates showing green, it doesn’t choose the date for me. How do I change the appointment please 🙏🏾

The error message is no dates available in your location (Lagos) I’m now in august still unable to click any of the green dates

I proceeded to check for my passport on OIS website and it kept showing "passport not ready for pickup" until yesterday morning when I checked and it showed "passport ready for pickup". I filled out the necessary information and booked a pick up for this morning. Thankfully pick up is free till the 31st of December.

Because Abuja seem to be working fine, but I think Lagos has a problem with Avits glitch or something.

I am unable to go past this page after verifying that my passport is ready for pick up. Can you kindly assist on what action to take?

Not sure there is provision for DS160 Update on the new platform. you can go with both old and New DS160 in my opinion.

Before the new website update I already had my Ds 160 confirmation done, Updated on my appointments confirmation and printed, but there is a need to change my month inlaw travel date and hence the need to fill another Ds 160.. The challenge i have now is to update the new Ds 160 number on the new portal and everytime I chat customer service up none of them understand this process. Please use the chrome browser as some browsers don't work properly with the website and use desktop version if you're using your phone.
From the screenshot, it means you've been able to check your status and all. Just select country, select city (VI, Lagos for OIS pickup) select OIS under type and book your appointment.

Just go to OIS. Forget about that Page.

Only God knows why they don't want Lagos applicants to book appointment for Lagos. They should try and resolve it soon, because a lot of people are stuck.

Update - December 19th
It has been frustrating experience trying to get dates using the rescheduled function on the AVITS portal for IW but I was not making any progress. I decided create a new appointment by inputting my dad's GTBank receipt from May 2023, however I received an error "receipt not found". I saw on the thread to send an email to Lagosniv@state.gov which I did on December 10th. I just received an email today requesting that he comes for an interview on December 30th, 2024. Hallelujah! step 1 is sorted.

My question now is that on his DS 160 confirmation letter, he was unable to upload his photo to reflect on it but it says "You must bring a 5cmx5cm passport photo to your interview". Has anyone ever been in this situation and hope it won't cause any issues at his interview?

Hello All, please I need help and guidance on next steps.
My dad was unaware of the new visa platform. He went to drop off his document as today is the appointment date for drop off based on the old platform only to be told that the process had changed. He was given the new link to book an appointment on the AVITS portal. I have created an account for him on the AVITS portal but it looks like his profile was migrated and appointment was rescheduled and cancelled. I'm guessing because it was missed but no email was sent to him with the new information. Anyway, my question is do I just go ahead and reschedule or do I create new appointment. Does anyone know the difference between Consulate Appointment and OFC Appointment? Thank you for your answers in anticipation.

So fake!!! Absolute fake!!! I really do not know what's wrong with Avits. They're collecting visa fee without releasing viable dates. Everyone is stuck in picking appointment dates. Damnit!!!

Sorry to hear about your mum's refusal. People get refused visas for different reasons and in your own case maybe the visa officer thought that your mum could have returned earlier than she did probably maybe when movements were eased. I am not sure there is anything you can do but to bid time and wait it out for a minute then you can reapply because the usual thing is "you can reapply when there is a change in your circumstance" and in this instances what circumstance would that be? But then again you can reapply without waiting that long and get a more understanding VO.........
