If we were to turn the table and a Church postsca banner that boldly says " Mohammed is NOT a Prophet sent by Allah but a sorcerer, a blaspheme, a phidophile and a man who admitted he doesn't know where he was headed" will the whole of the whole country not be in turmoil by now with Churches being burnt and Christians chased down the streets and hacked down like chickens in certain parts of our Country?...you be the judge.

You are the one who is wrong. You are here arguing because you are living in the 21st century with technology and all that. Jesus was a Jew. He knew the culture and traditions of the Jews, hence he has to align himself into them while doing his work.

The Jews belief is that ''The Lord our God is One''. Do you want Jesus to come out nd say ''I AM GOD'' common! doing that will break their tradition and beliefs. But he told them in various ways which was why they wanted to stone him because he was claiming to be God.

Jesus didnt shy away from telling them he is divine, even when they want to kill him. To them it was a taboo and blasphemy, because that was their religious belief, hence i don't blame them.

He took on human fleah. Sometimes he needed to address the people as a human.

Though the people thought he was a prophet but the kings during that period knew he was more than a prophet. That was why they sought to kill him and killed many males babies when he was born that his parent took him and ran away to another city.

To answer your question. Jesus was having a dual nature while on earth. Human and divine.
The human part of him has all the human attributes : fear, hunger, distress feeling etc just like anyone of us. So whatever he did was for us to emulate him. If he prays, we ought to pray too. If he fast, we ought to fast too. If he prays to GOD the Father, we also should do the same.

God the father
God the son
God the Holy spirit. These 3 persons are one. That is where Trinity comes in. I am not going to explain, because you will not understand.

Him praying does not mean he is praying to himself. At that moment in time he is a human and is praying to God the Father.
