Modern wingers dribbling styles are adapted to dribble while cutting inside to their stronger foot (inverted wingers). Sancho was never afforded that at Manure. Looking at his style you know he would cook on the left wing and anything you get from him on the right wing is a bonus but suboptimal

This is why you have to respect Rodrygo at Madrid who keeps performing on right wing although below the levels he can reach on left wing. Rodrygo on left wing will actually be elite world class

Players who perform in non-inverted wing positions should be respected like William did for us for years to accommodate Hazard on the LW. Seeing 35 year old William cooking on left wing for Fulham last season gives you a glimpse of his true ceiling in the correct position
