Why spending scarce foreign currency in the name of traveling oversea for a holiday while you can book hotels in Owerri and spend two weeks in two different luxury hotels in the city of Owerri and still get the same treatment you could have get in oversea hotels.

Is it not surprising that despite the clamor for people to invest in other economic ventures instead of hotels, the hotels keep springing up daily in the city of Owerri.

I believe if the hotels in Owerri are not getting patronages as expected, other prospective investors would have considered investing their money in other sectors. But as long as hotels in Owerri are usually fully booked during the weekends despite the high number of hotels in that city, more hotels will keep on springing up daily in Owerri city.

I love it when people come back from overseas to replicate in their fatherland the type of things they have been enjoying in developed world. When you look at this hotel, you would see things that would make you believe that the owner lives in Japan.

Igbos know how to make and enjoy money and the best in terms of quality of life not only in Nigeria but Africa . Travel to SW with exception of Lagos FG and Igbos contributed greatly in developing as a former federal capital, Northern and other African countries you will understand that British racists F- ucked Igbos up by forcing them into a country with people with very low inferior IQ that can’t develop themselves and the reason they try to mask their failures, incompetency with Igbo jealousy

Years ago, we used to have people from Lagos fly to Owerri on Fridays and get back to Lagos on Sunday mornings. The purpose was to enjoy Owerri nightlight just for 2 nights. Unfortunately, the Ipob madness spoilt everything.

Beautifying the East is not a bad idea. However, the underlying economy should also be developed as well as security ensured.

For a start, a website where South Eastern-manufactured goods are advertised with worldwide shipping and escrow payment option will be more beneficial than all the hotels in Owerri put together. Unfortunately, most of the youths are too foolish to see this. They are busy with Ipob, betting, ogwu ego and insulting people with divergent opinions.
