I see that no one wants to take responsibility for this event because there are casualties but if everything went well, they will have posted pictures online of their empowerment and charities.

The blame is on the State Government and organizers. Sponsors are also culpable because sponsorship is not for free. It means you are a part of it. its was prep for 5000 attendees , but 7500 ppl showed up, the late 2,500 wants to beat early 5k people to the game ! now u get it?

Typical Nigerians.....you see people spend hours fighting for who should get fuel first at the filling station during scarcity instead of queuing and being orderly,you would be out in mins but no,nah fight......many will then end up not getting anything.

These days you don't even have to ask people to gather at a venue and get the tickets of an event because you can access it online. Once you give out the expected number of tickets, you stop.

The organisers just killed those children for nothing and should be punished for it. RIP to the 35 children and quickly recovery to the hospitalised ones.

Events like this should only be made public like 24 hours before the day to prevent gatecrashers from cashing out to such free opportunity.
He and queen Naomi who meant to do something good were just been unfortunate in this situation as they did not foresee that thousands will come forward to grace the event that they were not invited for.

If you announced an event like this just 1 hour before it, you will still get a crowd. Are we not talking about Ibadan again? The largest city in Africa? Where there are freebies, words travel like wildfire.
What has happened is simply a stark reality of what hunger can cause. There is terrible hunger in the land, and events like this will certainly turn into survival of the strongest of the weakest of the poor and vulnerable.

People do beg for food, but for all the food giveaways I have seen, everyone stays on a queue until it is their turn to be served.

Nigerians need good policing.

For traffic, break traffic put 100k fine. No one would ever. When police catch you twice and you pay 20k you go respect yourself.

That's why many hate tinubu because they don't want the civility of Lagos to go round the country.....I tell people that most Lagos drivers are far more civilised than those in other states.....go ibadan and see recklessness,Benin nah another mad driving zone..... Onitsha or aba, don't even go there.

This is all a result of bad organising.....if every thing was done properly,this could have been easily averted......we take a lot of things for granted in this country....you see someone have so much money to build an event center but no provision for adequate parking space.

Though Nigerians are criminals, but there are still Nigerians who have conscience and empathy, the guy may be genuinely concerned. He cannot be jailed for this tragedy in Nigeria because it is not a planned killing, not even mans laughter can be charged

Secondly, who takes pictures as confirmation that one is sick? That's a rookie move. A doctor's report is much more reliable.

All we need is a doctor's report, the doctor's name, qualification(s) and current standing with regards to licence to practice.
