Those don't sound like Nigerian companies to me, and they'd likely keep paying in the currency they pay in despite this bill.

Why should they? Unless there is such an agreement. Naira is the currency of Nigeria.

No one stashes dollars in this country like the political class, and now others have followed suit.

There should also be a bill to confisticate 1000 and 500 naira while returning 1 naira and 50k note back.

No one disallows the buying and selling of Naira in UK. The reason you can't find it to buy is because no one is interested. Even Nigerians travelling home would rather bring their pounds home and convert it, because its less bulky and you get more favourable rates.

Nigeria should not implement silly unimplimentable policies.

Organizations like IITA pay some staffs in dollars, there are places in Nigeria that u must pay for stuffs in dollars, so you want it to continue just to satisfy ur seIfish interest even when it may likely not affect you but u will bIame politicians for looking out for their own interest when u are all practically having same mindset.

The bill does not stop foreign companies to pay their workers that are working in Nigeria in dollars.
If u work in Nigeria for a Nigerian company and earn in dollars, then the bill will affect u.

I work for a foreign company and I get paid in dollars. Exchanging it to naira is very difficult. You guys just make so many senseless policies.

Even if they want to be paid in Naira, can they be? No, because such issues does not even arise in sane nations that understand having their own currency means all in those nations are obligated to use that currency alone.

I know the average Nigerian supports any policy that diminish his country and elevates other countries and somehow want a better society.
Coming from the UK, u generally come with GBP not really dollars except you are specific on dollars.

how am I to be paid in Naira when the American doesn't have access to naira. Tinubu banned peere to peer platform making it impossible to exchange dollar to naira directly. Supporting apc and their policies requires you have a touch of madness. You can't get naira directly in America so I have to take payment in dollars and convert it.

not only it affects millions of Nigerians that work online. For they to be economic growth they should be an enabling environment for business. Not banning of currency.

Certain things are not about supporting or being against a political party, it's about your country unless a politician is what u call ur country then it's ok.

You mentioned IITA, The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. If it hires expats it will indeed pay in dollars, but it will not likely pay Nigerians in dollars! You might as well have mentioned Shell too, and Chevron, and the International School in Ibadan, or the foreign coach of the Nigerian Eagles, all of who would be paid in foreign currency.
