How Long Does It Take For A Baby To Walk? by zanieike(op):
Medical practitioners in the house, please what's the timeline for a baby to walk?
My niece will be one year old next month and she's not crawling yet, not to talk of walking.

My bro is kinda getting worried, we told him it's nothing serious, some babies do take long before they start walking.

PS: He's a first-time parent cheesy

It's completely normal for first-time parents to feel concerned about their child's development, but it's also important to remember that every baby develops at their own pace. Here's a general timeline for crawling and walking milestones:

Crawling: Most babies start crawling between 6 to 10 months, but some skip crawling altogether and move straight to pulling up, cruising, or walking.

Walking: Typically, babies begin walking independently between 9 to 18 months.
If your niece isn’t crawling yet but is otherwise healthy, alert, and meeting other developmental milestones (like sitting, rolling, or babbling), there might not be a cause for concern. However, if she’s not showing signs of trying to move (like rolling or scooting) or isn’t attempting to bear weight on her legs when supported, it could be helpful to speak to a pediatrician.

Encourage your brother to discuss his concerns with the baby's doctor during her next check-up. Early intervention is always better if there's any underlying delay. But most likely, his little one is just taking her time to develop in her unique way!
