You can add some of your family members to the emergency call. It doesn't require unlocking the phone.

Everyone close to me can unlock my phone, but I have emergency contacts on my homescreen.
When it is locked, you see them listed out. Someone once picked my phone and called the first number which was my brother.

The main emergency happens with strangers because your loved ones should know who to call with their phones during emergency.

At the bottom is my emergency contact. If you swipe, it would bring out the full list. I put my brother first because he never misses a family call. I give him that. Even if you two are fighting, he must pick your call! Call him by 2:30am, he would pick!
