@Smartypants

Were you the one I warned not to celebrate yet? And to watch this facility for at least six months?

National Grid genes loading.
I mean didn't I agree with you on that? There is no issue of premature celebration here.

However, I will point out that there is nothing in this story to warrant gloating at this point. The report lacks depth and itself indicates that loading is scheduled to resume on Monday.

The refinery was never operational.

The products they sold a few weeks ago originated from the national oil reserve in Port Harcourt.

They depleted their stock, assuming they would be able to replenish it with fresh oil

Its shutting down is not what surprises me...!

What shocks and surprises me is that a Nigerian with a brain actually believes these imbeciles spent $1.5 Billion anywhere near that refinery.

MadPolitician:
In saner climes, you can easily use the amount expended for this audio rehabilitation to pratically build a new refinery. Or at worst add another billion and you are ready to go. Turn around maintenanceof these obsoleterwfineries have now gulped billions and nonse of the refineriesate working. . This so called rehabilitation was over inflated. The price is simply outrageous. At the end, there seem to be no serious work done and the country has now been duped right left and center yet again by an evil party that likes to front its fake anti corruption credentials at every turn.
Imagine this: a 1.24 million bpd refinery in India cost $6 billion to set up, while rehabilitating a 60,000 bpd refinery in Nigeria, operating at just 70% capacity, has already cost $1 billion. Now, less than a month after operations began, issues are already piling up. Nigeria is gone. O ti lọ.

Thank you 💕 PUNCH for the investigative journalism. Thank you Dennis Naku for braving the odds to feed us with the Truth.

Nigeria cannot move forward with this level of deceits.

Mele Kyari should resign. His team must be arrested and investigated. What's panning out in NNPCL is monumental scam.

Community spokesman where the refinery's domiciled said the so called rehabilitation of the refinery was a scam, but government Spokesmen said otherwise. Debunked the community leader's statement.

Enough of the deceits!

Yeah... Dangote was awarded over 1 Billion Dollars in contract funds to fix that white elephant of a refinery.

Let's also blame Air Peace for causing insecurity on our highways in order to get more customers for their air lines.

The deductive reasoning of most of you Nigerians is so enviable all over the globe! grin

Leave these people, sir!

Just focus on the idiocy and gullibility of your citizens.

With fuel Subsidy, these men loot taya...!

Without fuel Subsidy, they are even looting twice more.

Travel abroad and see what these people and their families are doing with the 'little' money Nigeria has left.

The money that has been looted in just 25 years of this current democratic dispensation is more than enough to transform the entire West Africa!

I kid you not!
