This is deeply saddening and heartbreaking. Our hearts go out to the people of Anambra State following this tragic incident. Many lives were lost during a stampede in the Okija community as people rushed for Christmas rice distribution. Hunger and desperation led to this unfortunate event.

I heard able bodied men and women keep matching and climbing on top eachother in Okija because Jackson foundation promised them like 2 cup of rice each.

Some even purposely killed their fellow human to be the recipient of the rice. This is a case of hunger laced with greed and wickedness.

This is not the first time they will laugh at a misfortune in Yorubaland and they were met with the same within a week

I remember when there was a thunderstorm in Ekiti, they laughed and weeks later, a village in Anambra was submerged in flood

They mocked an accident involving a train and a bus in Ikeja and laughed at our emergency rescue and triage set up at LASUTH and a few days later in Enugu, a commercial bus was totally burned to ashes and there was no rescue.

Even before the elections, the laughed at the Yorubas but we laughed last

Now they laughed at Ibadan and then…

I keep saying the Yorubas are a race that God loves and you will only toy with them at your own peri

Ibadan own was never about hunger. No food was shared at the event and it was just a regular Christmas funfair for kids. What happened in Ibadan is more of disorderliness and the negligence of the organizers.

In Anambra, it was hunger that perished those youth. They are hungry and came to beg for rice. Then they start climbing and killing eachother to get the most cup of rice.

It is hunger laced with wickedness. Not all of the dead are innocent.

Disorderliness and greed simple.
Nigerians are gifted in disorderliness, we see it on our roads, banks, market, schools and religious places.
Nigerians are greedy O! Tell them to take one and they want to act smart and take 2.

What you heard is true. I was unaware that hunger was this prevalent in Anambra. Although I knew many people there struggled for food despite their children online bragging, I didn't realize the situation was this dire.

So the cause of it is Hunger or Disorderliness
People trying to take before their turn is what caused this unnecessary death. Palestinian is facing serious hunger, but we are yet to read such News from there.
