Do the maths again
A ltr will be around 47 cents
Add refining fee and logistics and multiply by 1700

Both your calculations are wrong because you are both assuming (wrongly) that the only products you get from a barrel of crude is PMS. You are also assuming that the 159 liters is PMS it isn’t. 159litres is the amount of crude in a barrel not the amount of PMS in a barrel. You get diesel, lpfo, kerosene, jet fuel lubricants etc from the 159 liters in a barrel of Oil.

The amount of PMS you get from a barrel depends on the refinery. But generally it is between 42-47% or about 68-74 liters of PMS. An old refinery like PH will produce less than a modern refinery like Dangote.
