Imagine what this young man has gone through since 2010 for the crime he didn't commit. The way and manner investigations are conducted in Nigeria is so archaic, your enemy will lie against you, bribe the police and you are finished if you don't have anybody to defend you, they will come up with concocted and fabricated lies and force you to make a statement admitting to it, a lot of innocent people are languishing in prison Thanks to social media |

some police officers and judges in Nigeria are worst than politicians with their evil behavior We don't behave like civilized people in this country individuals who are meant to protect us, people you think should know better and do the right thing will be used against you, they commit a lot of infractions and get away with it because the system is weak. |

If you have ever been on a social work to a prison, ask any prisoner how they got there. None of them is ever guilty... 😐 Wonderful |

If the account given by this young man is true, all those involved in his ordeal and that of the now mentally unstable Morakinyo shall never know peace. Pain and sorrows shall be their portion for the rest of their miserable lives. |

Now you believe Kemi Badenoch when she said the police and justice system in Nigeria are rotten. Imagine a judge who is meant to be a custodian of justice shamefully acting as a puppet of corruption. |

It is better you free 1,000 criminals than to jail one innocent person. The Nigeria judicial system is messed up. |

Consider what this young man has endured since 2010 for a crime he did not commit. The way investigations are carried out in Nigeria is outdated; if someone wishes to harm you, they can easily fabricate stories, bribe the police, and without support, you may find yourself in a difficult situation. Many innocent individuals are suffering in prison. Fortunately, social media has brought attention to these issues. |

See how unfair our judicial system is . May we not fall victim of circumstance. That's the common prayer. The enemies had seen the future of this boy(now man) and had chosen to destroy it. When we say every parent should be praying for their children, they think say na yam. We're so evil in this part of the world. When we see some people progress in life, we envy them without knowing the sacrifices their parents had made over them. Don jazzy is a good example, davido too. The latter's mum was a prayer warrior and a devout adventist but nobody would ever hear this part. Wizkid's mum was a devout Christian too and pillar behind him and why her death had hit him so much. Davido named his first daughter Imade, an edo word to honour his late mum for the role played in his life. But we all envy them today. The fame didn't come by surprise. That said, to every police officer's child reading this message, if you want to end it well in life, just go for deliverance kiakia cos the sin of your father or grand father will be visited on your head. Please don't see this advice as nonsense. I've never seen a child of a police officer do good in life, except his/her dad didn't compromise his call to duty. There are many likes of this guy still languishing in our various prisons nationwide today . Many had even lost their lives The likes of yahaya bello, tinubu, orji kalu, atiku, etc are supposed to be on deathrow by now, including wike but because they've corrupted our judicial system so much, they remain untouchable. Just last week, a major leader and a global figure in China was executed. Here in Nigeria, he'd be given chieftaincy titles or he retires at the senate. E get many reasons why Nigeria no develop. Our judiciary played a major role in our setback as a nation. God bless Gov Adeleke, Bar Falana,et al. |

Shut up...in as much as we sympathize with you, don't bring some stupid lies here . You and one other went to steal in the house of a police man, you guys went with a sword and a local made gun...but you guys were only able to steal Chicken from his poultry...you guys were arrested and taking to court...as far the law is concerned, the judgment was in line only that the judgement was too extreme. Considering the fact that you were a teenager then, the judge should have given a lighter punishment... The gun was for what ? |

This could be a case of extended family rivalry. The poultry where the chicken was said to be stolen belongs to the convict uncle. The uncle testified against him despite family intervention. Anyone that really wants to get to the root of this matter should secretly interview some people in that community to what the relationship between the father and the Uncle was. Another confusing part of the story is where the said the same chicken belonged to a police officer . Or was it a different incident? In all the incidents alleged, does it mean there was no single person to collaborate on the convict’s whereabouts during all the mentioned incidents? There was a similar situation of extended family rivalry back in the days. These two families had their houses side by side. The son of the other would often go to the other house armed, to threaten the rich illiterate uncle and collect money. Along the line the bad guy’s father died after a brief illness. So there was no longer anyone to intervene in two families matter. When the guy went to his uncle again to get money, his uncle made a police complaint to teach the guy a little lesson. I suspected that being an illiterate, the uncle actually underestimated the grave consequences of such action during the military era. The guy was eventually charged with armed robbery. This was the days of firing squad, the 80s. The uncle later went back to withdraw his complaint but it was too late. That guy was sentenced to death by firing squad. We went to watch while he was executed at the stadium, tied to a drum. True life story. |

He said, “The DPO told me that one of the children confessed to stealing two broilers and some crates of eggs. I met the broilers and the eggs at the station. The children were eight in number. He told me the children said I was their gang leader, which I denied. Either of these is what will likely played out and thorough investigation supposed to have revealed the truth 1. The guy committed the robbery but not armed as they make it looked but added it in order to crucified him. 2. He was innocent of that particular scenario but of questionable character. (In the report he said the complaint was his uncle and promised to withdraw the case after the family meeting was held because of that issue, but still went ahead to testify against him) The judge sentenced him to death not just because of robbery charges but because of the narrative that he was armed with cutlass and gun, meanwhile that was what they presented before the judge. But in all honesty we don’t really know what played out because we were not there and there is no meaningful report on quality investigations for us to know what really played out for us to have fair judgment. We should try to be objective and not to be emotional; most especially if comes to criminal cases. We’ve seen a situation where by people of younger age actually engaged in criminal activities, fully armed and even killed people in the process. What did law says if someone actually committed criminal activities (That is why we can not just crucify the judge) unless if we are so sure that they lied against the guy. But in all thank God for people’s outcry and the Governor intervention to save his life. If truly he committed the crime, he must have learned his lesson and here opportunity to turn a new chapter But if they lied against him, well thank God he didn’t go with the storm, do who do that will sure face the consequences sooner or later. In all, let live a modest lifestyle and we the parents should be intentional about training our children and guide them right, we pray God guide each and everyone of us right and may we not be a victim. |
