When they want to increase the price with 100%, 200%, 300% etc it take effect immediately with very short news, but when they want to decrease it with just 0.05% it takes eternity to take effect with the unending news. Price of fuel above #200 is too cost.

Nigerians are so easy to please and politicians can read us perfectly like open book

Imagine us celebrating N935 for fuel that was less then N200 as at 28th May 2023!

All fuel policies deliberately manipulated, hiked, inflated and hoarded only to effect a little reduction and we are dancing for joy..

Walahi we are not serious ..

Anyway, since they are pretending to 'pity the masses' with the gradual reduction in fuel price, let them kukuma come down to N400 make everywhere burst

PDP’s free market capitalism policies gave us a prosperous economy with jobs, which APC’s pseudo progressive rice sharing policies have wrecked.

Oil prices and production were not always higher in PDP’s 16 years compared to APC’s nine years.

QED.
On the one hand, free market, on the other hand, maintenance of subsides, and price controls on petrol and electricity....which are in essence socialist policies.

You guys should face the truth.

We almost closed down this country over N141 fuel per litre when Jonathan removed subsidy. Today we want to make N935 per litre look very cheap

Today's administration which was the opposition then crucified Jonathan for increasing fuel price to N145. They asked him to reverse it N65.

See where we are today. It shall not be well with them.
If GEJ had the political will then, he would have gone ahead to remove fuel subsidy not chicken out.
Blame GEJ and not Tinubu or Buhari.
Actually you should appreciate Tinubu for having the political will to remove subsidy and damning the consequences.

U speak off point. Is this the kind of county you pray for your children? GEj did the honorable and now respected. The idiot Tinubu removed subsidy without first settling down . That reckless statement brought us to where we are now.. USELESS GOVERNMENT

Really? We shall never believe that, until the PMS is bought and dispensed to us at the various filling stations.

Lmao . When people know you don’t have the kind of information they have , they can play games with you .

Prices of crude usually reduces during winter periods. That reduces price across board . This reduction is in line with the seasonal fluctuation of crude prices . No one is doing you a favour by reducing pump prices . It will go back to its price after winter . During this period price of gas goes up because the demand increases significantly .

what exactly is the difference, 1020 and 935? just maybe some extra centilitres will be added to your fuel.
You definitely don't have a car or run generator that much, to fill up a Toyota camry of 70 litres for 1020 is 71,400 while at 935 is 65, 450, that's about 6k difference.

Exchange rate movements would play a key role in that. Exchange rate is the key factor.

The price of fuel is too high and demand is low.

I believe they are looking for a new price equilibrium that will drive more demand because at the current price rate the sale volume is down.

No capitalist will do giveaways on manufactured item, much less oil.

I smell a fish 🐟.

that's for those who buy full tank at a go, not for masses like us who can only buy 4 or 5 litres to move around, if the fuel came down to sat 700 or 800 that will make more sense.

#85 on a litre nah something.

Let say the jump from #1020 to #1105 and see how price of commodities will go up.

Let appreciate little win.

God bless Nigeria 🙏
even with that 85 naira, how many extra litres will you get? the thing only pays if you buy large quantity of the fuel, and how many can afford that? let's talk more when the fuel comes to 700 or 800.

There is bro... That's N85 difference

It might not make sense to you but it does to them.

Multiply it by one million litres you 86 million naira

Multiply by 10 million litres you have 860 million naira

And you feel these are not huge figures?
to them it does make sense but will this 85 naira reduce the price of that yam or plantain you buy from the market? I don't think so.

That has been our heartfelt prayers that the price will even go more thinner than we have now.
This has also justified our stance on revamping the refineries, when we said the revamping and the home refining of the crude oil will reduced the price marginally but some people and the hailers said, having the refineries operational would not reduce the price of PMS. Shame on government praise singers
