No wonder Abati was not on air this morning on arise morning show. Guess he was at the dress rehearsal for the nonsense media chat
Re: Tinubu: Presidential Media Chat (Live Update) by BABANGBALI: 11:44pm On Dec 23, 2024
LandMann:
The issue is that this is a prerecorded, and carefully edited interview. Tinubu will not be asked sensible and burning questions about issues facing Nigeria and Nigerians and any dumb response he gives will be carefully edited to remove any blunders. Worse of all, Tinubu will be given all the interview questions to prepare ahead of time. Tinubu doesn't have the mental and physical strength to face a live interview of this magnitude. Tinubu is a disgrace. He ought to be in old people's home, managing his health with the stolen wealth he's amassed over the years instead of trying to strangulate 200 million+ people with poverty and hardship inducing policies.
no mind dat guy. Leave am make him dey talk nonsense

Yeah
I know I’m ‘’backing” at the wrong tree because this tree is obviously not the sharpest tool in the box 😂😂

I can see your ‘internationalized ’ education in display . I’m sure you attended one of those Benin republic schools 😂😂. Benin republic is also international.
Nairaland is such a comic relief .
It's obvious you are the zombie on overtime. Yeah, you know among you all, only your master was fortunate to school in Chicago while the rest of your ilk could make do with Benin republic.
For your caae, i doubt you have even seen outside this country, hence, your idiocy is justified! grin

Imagine where the idiot was calling, Benin republic!

Quite an idiot! grin

I have been giving an idiot audience all this while! cheesy

When a Presidential press chat is held and no meaningful or tangible policy direction or even a rationalisation of a policy is made out of such chat, you should know that country is in wrong hands.

Heck!!...even Buhari, as dull as he was, still gave more clarity on his policy direction than this effigy(druglord)

Nigeria has entered one chamce. All hands must be on deck to boot him out come 2027...by God's grace

He stays till 2031. One of the landlords in my street that was a strong and rich campaigner for Tinubu has sold 3 out of his five cars already. All the korope that he had before election was like 20 plus that were delivering daily to him. Someone just told me that he has about 5 left. I know before 2028, he would have sold all.

That wasn't a media chat
It was simply more like a friendly discussion.
These media guys just went there to see the president

First of all, the press does not heckle the President while he is speaking. And he invites only a few questions at the end. It seems you are adding the press secretary briefing to your analogy just as you are interposing UK's PM question time which is a unique to the UK and has not been a feature of our constitution since 1966.
First line - they do. Many times. During question time.

As to the rest, you miss the general point about the leader having to accountably explain himself constantly. Whereas in Nigeria they scarcely bother. I believe Buhari had only one or two such media chats in his entire eight years. And this one is just having a carefully managed first one after one and a half years. If you can't see the problem with that, good luck.

Not me oh. I said with reference to a poster who does hot expect his leader to be constantly interrogated, that he is enslaved.

You have to decide whether you want to know the truth or win an argument. I have already answered your question. It is unscientific to assert that a question can only be answered yes and no when you have introduced a non absolute elemrnt that is neither yes or no into your own question.

I am too old for this. Go and play with your age mates.
Is it normal for a presidential candidate to avoid a presidential debate during a presidential election campaign?

You have not answered this question. This question requires either yes or no as an answer.

We the citizens demand that you hold an impromptu interview if you are really a sincere leader. But you are not. Everything is prerecorded and staged.

If they didn't ask him when the self destructive economic reforms would end the hardship he imposed on Nigerians then they didn't ask him anything.
Stupid country run by stupid people with a very high number of stupid citizens.

You're the one with insufficient IQ here. There's no way a sitting president will ignore the state TV house for a TV station in the private sector. What message will the president be propagating? The most they can do is have a mix of anchors like they have done in this case. They want to convince us it's not preempt or premeditated; surely we know better of course! Just know there's no amount of conviction they'll wanna give, that will make them opt for Arise TV or Channels TV when NTA is functioning. The Press Chat in itself is a propaganda, a calculated attempt to bamboozle everyone into lending credence to the present government.

I didn't watch. To stay on insta streets will give me more succour. Ish!

You're adamantly stupid.

Always coming out to support rubbish. So proud of the fact that your useless Tinoopig and other criminals like him can weaponize the deliberately imposed poverty and ignorance of the vast majority of Nigerians to gain and consolidate power. Are you not ashamed?

If there are 100 blind people and only 1 person with vision, should the one person not be empowered to decide the direction of the remaining 99 blind people? Who else would prefer the inimical 'sufrage' of the majority 'blind' people over the minority who can see, if not those with warped agendas?

Very disgusting animal.

Don't bother to reply, because I wouldn't read whatever disgusting rubbish you have to say. But of course you will, like the useless robot you are. And you would be wasting your time.
Don't you see you are ignorant. He simply said the truth. Arise tv is a propaganda station and only support pdp and now labour party. It's a known fact. If not foolishness, how Arise tv crew will tell Ighodaro to ask Okpeboho to come for debate, without the proper channel. All propaganda they made in support of Obi failed.

Kill yourself cos Rufai is too small for Tinubu to descend with. All president and head of states ever in Nigeria, uses NTA or as it was called then to interact with the citizen. Foolish propaganda Arise tv will not be entertained by the government. Let the fat fool owner and Rufai wait when Obi becomes the president of Biafra and interview him.

Does that mean it must take him one and a half years to have a first encounter with the media? You guys admire western democracy, and you see the way even Presidents and Prime Ministers are interrogated by the press (and they make themselves available constantly).

But here, because you worship a criminally corrupt, entitled and disdainful leader whose policies continue to kill thousands of people in this country, you feel its ok for his majesty to ignore the media for one and a half years straight. You people are slaves who dont deserve freedom.
They don't interact with a bias media outfit. Trump cancelled the second debate and still won.

You have not answered this question. This question requires either yes or no as an answer.
The way some of you used to talk about presidential debates one would have thought avoiding them is unconstitutional in America but Trump did it and still won the Presidency in a model country. Tinubu probably gave Trump the idea to avoid the second debate with Harris. Tinubu is far ahead of Obi and Atiku in all ramifications.

I knew that this man will determinedly never face the press till he leaves office. So when I saw this title, I thought I had been proven wrong. But alas! Its NTA and Radio Nigeria! So I remain right!

Post Interview Edit: It wasnt NTA/ Radio Nigeria as said in the OP. It turned out to be a mix of private sector journalists, but was still an obviously pre-recorded and managed session in which no serious questions were put forward and addressed.
people like you jump into conclusion very easily.... U made a mistake instead of you to apologise... U r still trying to justify yourself.... What's wrong with it being pre-recorded?
