Good morning Everyone,

I own a 2004 Honda accord (Scrap EOD), as some of my fellow car owners will call it.

The engine runs fine but I struggle to start it only in the mornings.

Every other hour of the day, the car starts just once as it hits ignition.

Once the car is left in a state of inertia till the next morning, it struggles to start.

I kindly seek the advise of experienced engineers/mechanics on this issue so I can know how to repair or restore.

CHANGE YOUR COLD START SWITCH.
You can also scan the car for further issues you may not be aware about.

there are different causes of engine struggling to start in the morning some are, (1)plugs ( 2 ) some nuzzles need change (3) the fuel pump is giving you warning at any time it can stop working completely (4) all the coil need to be check . If all this 4 failed to normalize it you have no any other options than to change the brain box. Look for EOD brain box and test it and see, doing that will save you from unnecessary spending

The process of the car igniting in the morning involve the cold start switch to warm up the engine, it help the engine to attain high temperature very quickly when starting the car in the morning

The engine is already warm at any other time of the day is the probable cause why it's not having the starting issue at those time, and of all the suggestion you can make , cold start switch which is the plausible number 1 culprit was ommited , and straight away to changing ECU.....well-done

Cold start sensor is the first thing to check if your car start fine every other time of the day except in the morning , alternatively scan the car , instead , look at the silly solution you offered....not surprised thou

Either its loose,wires fried,burnt,or the sensor clip/plugs/pin has expired.check those.crank sensor,always close to the belt area,water pump area.its a plug in,plug out kind of thing.
