This is far better than open grazing. It will help to disarm all the killer herdsmen living in the bushes to be disarmed and relocate to the ranches. I hope those nomadic herdsmen will cooperate. |

Why Imo again? They know fully well how sensitive this ranch of a thing is and how rumours alone has caused loss of lives and properties in Imo yet they are bringing the ranch to create more insecurity. It would have been a good initiative if the atmosphere wasn't tensed. |

DatNiggaDaz:They are white washing their stupid ass as usual, ranching should be a private business rather than this land grabbing methodology they want to apply. That's how fg grabs people's land in the name of military base. |

mrvitalis:Isreal has no comparative advantage in growing crops. What they are doing is simply human ingenuity, using what you have to get what you want. Yes, they import food but still grow enough for export and most importantly they are not hungry. I can name at least 100 crops in which we have a comparative advantage why are we not producing enough for our own consumption not to mention for export. |

Abagworo:IT WILL NEVER BE A GOOD INITIATIVE FOR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO BRING RANCHES, REFUGEE OR BOKO INMATES TO IGBOLAND. JUST ASK YOURSELF, HOW MANY CAPITAL PROJECTS DO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BRING TO SE FOR THE BETTERMENT OF IGBO PEOPLE. DID THEY GIVE YOU RAILWAY, ROADS, DAMS OR EVEN INCLUDE YOU IN A LOAN? THE REASON PEOPLE WANT BIAFRA IS BECAUSE WE CAN DO THIS RANCH BUSINESS OURSELVES, SINCE THAT IS ALL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CAN DO IN IGBOLAND. ANY FULANI OR RANCH IS BAN FROM IGBOLAND, IF THEY WANT TO DARE US LET THEM COME, WE ARE READY. |
| Re: 2025 Budget: FG To Establish Ranches In Lagos, Ogun, Imo, Others by Stolen: 4:53pm On Dec 24, 2024 |
GO THROUGH TINUBU PROJECTS AND SEE WHAT HE IS BUILDING IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH WEST REGION. WHICH CAPTAL PROJECT DID THEY ALLOCATE TO IGBOLAND. NIGERIA IS NOTHING BUT A PROBLEM TO IGBO PEOPLE. IF IT IS NOT REFUGEE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WANT TO BRING. IT IS BOKO HARAM INMATE. IT IS RANCH. WHEN THEY TAKE LOAN SE EXCLUDED, YET IT IS OUR OIL AND GAS. WHEN THEY BUILD RAILWAY, NOTHING IN SE, THEY WILL BUILD STANDARD GUAGE IN SW AND NORTH, PROPOSE NARROW GUAGE FOR SE AND SS. WE ARE GETTING NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS IN NIGERIA AND THAT IS WHY PEOPLE WANT TO LEAVE AND LEAVE WE MUST. |

Alsenora:This is a deliberate attempt. Lagos State consumes more animal protein than Osun, Kwara etc, because of the population of Lagos State. In order to reduce cost of production and making more ranch owners invest heavily in it, that’s why 2 ranches are cited there. Moving animal and dairy products all the way from Kwara or Ondo to Lagos State would defeat the purpose of growing livestock farming. Imported livestock of various species too would not travel far after being offloaded from ships which would make production costs lower. Tinubu and his team feel those open grace ranches in outer South-Western states are enough for people of those states. The number of beef and dairy products being consumed in Lagos alone is humongous and that’s why much of the supplies come from far Northern Nigeria. Before it gets down to Lagos, it becomes costlier. Seeing these new ranches grow and develop would ‘ginger’ our state governors into either partnering or setting up their own because there is huge money in that industry. Meat packaging and refrigeration is there. What of veterinary and hay supplies, logistics etc? Ranching is done on a vast area of land that runs into kilometers but not on a few plots of land. Most of those governors were either toddlers or kids when Nigerian ranching system started collapsing in the early 70s to early 80s. |

| Re: 2025 Budget: FG To Establish Ranches In Lagos, Ogun, Imo, Others by Stolen: 5:04pm On Dec 24, 2024 |
WHAT SE NEED IS STANDARD RAILWAY, GOOD ROADS AND MAYBE A DAM FOR ELECTRICITY, COAL POWERED ELECTRIC STATION FOR PPOWER GENERATION. RANCH IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS FOR PRIVATE CITIZEN. FEEL FREE TO ADD IMO STATE RANCH PROPOSAL TO SW, WE DATCH THEM. |

Abagworo:May be Uzodinma wants to invest in it, privately, after leaving office. We can’t say. He could have lobbied for it, thinking that he would know how to for;ce it down the throat of his people when the time comes. |

Stolen:Let’s wait and see. Imo people could have a change of heart then, due to the level of job creation it could potentially bring and affordable livestock protein. Expect more automated or semi automated abattoirs there, more suya and asun spots 😝😝, more hide and skin factories for leather products. It can spur a lot of developments. Ranches are not what you see Fulani herdsmen practicing. If you see real ranches that Nigeria had before they collapse or you see oyibo ranches, you won’t even want to slaughter those livestocks. So let’s wait and see if Uzodinma would be able to convince Imo State people to accept ranching this time. |
