Analysis Of Tinubu's Idea Of Using Minimum Wage To Fight Corruption. by jmoore(op): 7:37am On Dec 25, 2024
When Tinubu was asked on how he's fighting corruption, he said....

“Pay them good and living wages,” President Tinubu said, referencing the recent increase in the minimum wage from N35,000 to N70,000.

“To me, that is anti-corruption.

Let's analyze this:

Minimum wage under Goodluck Jonathan was able to get one a bag of 50kg rice.

Minimum wage under Tinubu can't buy 50kg rice.

Tinubu doesn't know that he has reduced the purchasing power, devalued naira, which makes 70,000 naira in 2024 to have lesser value than 15,000 naira in 2014. And he's saying it is anti-corruption policy.

They don't want to put it on frontpage. But they put a topic that called a region 'inconsequential' on the frontpage.
