Even as people complain of economic hardship, the south east is a festive fanfare. See as they have emptied most shops as shoppers besieged markets to load goods, food and clothing. Vehicles travelling to villages yesterday cause thr biggest traffic gridlock we have witnessed here as everyone was in a hurry to get to their villages in time to start early enjoyment and season preparation. Am still gonna shop again today, for some fresh food consumables before hitting the village, friends full ground dey call me, we gonna be playing a football match this evening sef ![]() |

vanbonattel:But if they wanted to scatter your joy, the whole place would be like Afghanistan or Syria or Yemen, and you would not be able to buy all those nice foods and be getting calls from your guys to come and play football in your village, and go boozing afterwards etc. That’s enjoyment there. So Nigeria is not as terrible as you always portray it. |

Here in the east, the number of bags of rice being purchased by individuals will make you think that rice has fallen to what it used to be before APC crippled the economy. The Igbo remain undisturbed while chestbeaters keep languishing in poverty yet praising the man that brought economic woes upon Nigeria |

helinues:Some put in their best, just that things weren't adding up. Have it in mind that it's almost impossible to save to be rich as things have gone beyond affordable. People are just hustling to eat and pay bills this period. |
