As big as Airbus A380 and Boeing 747 are, just a single bird flying into an engine can bring the plane down.
Even Antonov A224 with six engines can be downed by birds.

He will say the birds are running from Nigeria because of poverty so they caused the crash. The birds would have been in Nigeria enjoying and not fly if the economy is good.

This same incident happened to us on Arik Air PHC-Lagos 24th December 2008 around 8pm.
I remember the sudden noice from engine section like noise from bursted tyre as announcement was made that we just had birth strike.
I remember the chanting of Jesus, Allah and a sort of prayers that night.
Thank God for the wisdom of the pilot who manageably return the flight back to Phc safely.
Finally, a senator from Edo State latter declare free drink at the Airport when we landed.
We boarded another plane sent to portharcourt around 11pm that night.

He would have tried directing the plane to that side....I know such is not easy in a quagmire

Much like the effect we experience when a speeding trailer passes you walking by.
One feels the effect of the wind it drags alongside.
If one isn't careful, one might fall off the road.

its own design is different it uses rotor that carries blade if any birds comes in contact with it its cut to pieces & if it hits the front no shaking,birds can't cause planes that it's engine is open as in not enclosed to crash
But if it's enclosed I mean those plane that the engine is housed a bird can be strucked in side & can damage the plane engine

It is not a matter of Googling and correcting oneself,it is a matter of practical experience.Beside,I didn't say authoritatively that bird strike can't happen at night.
I said it's very rare, expecially in the southern part of our country here.
Just like the google message you posted here says,most of the bird strike occurs during take off or landing.And if it's at night,small species of birds that fly at low altitude (landing and take of altitude) are asleep.
The larger migratory birds like geese you mentioned fly at high altitude that is higher than the descending or ascending altitude (frequent phase of bird strike) of planes and too,bird migration is seasonal either in search of food or for mating.
The above points explained makes bird strike incidence at night very rare expecially in the tropical rainforest zone of the s/s.
The annual data we submitted to NCAA and ICAO on bird strike yearly for about five consecutive years now shows that about 90% of bird strike incidents occurred in the day time while the remaining percent
is in the night.
