Nigeria will borrow millions of dollars to finance budget which involves spending millions on foreign trips, renovation of state houses and buying of cars. So many poor Nigerians will buy 25k Christmas Chicken and have their Children out of school in January. Poverty is not just about not having money but a lifestyle |

youngEmelex:Indeed… poverty is a life style; particularly in Nigeria. isn’t this borne of the mantra “ enjoy today, tomorrow go take care of itself.’ “Last last, e go dey alright!” |

Why should poor people be giving birth like rats? Why should those who are struggling be remitting their hard earned money to religious center without any expectations of return? |

helinues:If these two questions right here are addressed, Nigeria will match China in less than 3 decades! Quote me daily, and twice on Christmas. ![]() |

helinues:Thank you brother. These are the innately unreasonable behaviour of some ruining Nigeria. Poor man with no skills and limited education, thus meaning limited capacity to earn well, has 6 to 8 kids. Buhari or Tinubu must look after them according to him. North wishes to remain an over-religious, unproductive and backwards arena of all that is bad and condemnable about human existence yet they always want to have the last word over how Nigeria should be run. For those thinking I am just attacking the North, do your research to note the region has the worst level of human development index known to man meaning most Northerners don't and will never contribute anything positive to society unless their leaders make a conscious effort to groom better and more productive human resources. In the end, it will become obvious to even the most devoted 'one Nigeria' advocate that Nigeria cannot avoid regional autonomy that will allow people united by homogeneity of ideas and desires to lead themselves independently . |

StaffofOrayan:We all have different means of earning. Some people's yearly earning is not even up to N100k. Why should such people be buying chicken at N25k |

helinues:Who on earth earns below ₦100k annually? Even secondary school boys and girls don't earn ₦100k annually. That's like ₦8k monthly. Who employs grownups for ₦8k per month? |

Procashtips:Talk something you know. There are some people in town who have been jobless for years. Infact some of them have given up about doing something about the situation but instead resorting to billing others. I watched one local movie, a guy took his big street bro to a herbalist, he told the baba that his big bro never counted N100k at once before, that might be a movie but it's just so possible |

youngEmelex:Nigerians are not extravagant except you mean the rich Nigerians. As a matter of fact, poor Nigerians have been forced to tighten their belts and put their children in public schools which is even against their will. BATeria's govt has intensify hardship and poverty in Nigeria. |

helinues:Jesus Christ. This is someone people spend time arguing with daily? Your evidence is a movie? And who's talking about unemployed people here? Can you just stay one place and defend yourself. Which grownup do you know that makes ₦8k monthly in this era? |
| Re: The Poor Are Extravagant, Nigeria As A Case Study by helinues: 10:40am On Dec 25, 2024 |
Procashtips:Again, also talk something you know. What then is you guys definition of hardship if you believe everyone is making above N100k yearly? |
| Re: The Poor Are Extravagant, Nigeria As A Case Study by Procashtips(m): 10:53am On Dec 25, 2024 |
helinues:Stay within context. Who makes ₦100k yearly that you know? Unemployed people are categorised as "No income", so they're not captured in those you say makes ₦100k annually. Kindly give us examples of workers earning ₦8k monthly. |
