You are absolutely correct.... I read about the story of a man that specifically told his wife not to attend a food sharing event that later ended her life because she didn't listen. Obviously the man could still take care of his home but this feeling of "it's free, I must have a part in it" it's a very crazy mentality not limited to those in wants alone. That's why people fight over meals and gifts at parties. Things they can easily afford. Can't say if it's how I was raised but I'll rather buy stuffs than be gifted.
