Population Share Between North And South by Buhari4dullard(op): 7:31am On Dec 26, 2024
A man went to 24 states in Nigeria and doubts the myth that the North has more population than the south.

Do you agree?

The fact that you travelled accross the 24 states in 4 days is one important information I needed to ignore your conclusion.

Nawah ooo you lied man 24 states within 4 days. How many states you visit daily? Some of you thought you are talking to fool.

I have been to all states of Nigeria and I know for sure there are less People in Northern Nigeria than south

An ex-Colonial officer exposed the truth that the Norths numbers are inflated for political reasons

As someone who have traveled 32 states in this country I tend to agree with you though there may be some salient points

1. In the north, many women and female teens stay indoors (remember that females always make up the larger population)
2. You can travel up to 5hours while going from one state to the next state. Eg Kastina to zamfara. And the pockets of people living in those villages may combine to form a large population

3. In most Southern states asides Lagos, Rivers and anambra. If you go to their villages when it's not December, you will still find the same scantiness you mentioned exists in the north

I know the northern population is over exaggerated, but it might still be higher than southern population

If the North has the population, why will they need to rig elections?

I understand your points and they are partly valid,....in North, mostly Muslim dominated area, only the married women stay indoors, the teenage girls hawk things around on daily basis as their trade,

The scanty villages in the North is usually not caused by urban migration, they do it for the purpose of acquiring large lands for farming, so it takes several of them to reach one village down south especially south east.

Again remember this is far higher morality rate in the North due to ignorance, poverty and illiteracy

In the year 2000, a whole political ward in Zaki LG of Bauchi state has only one human being with WAEC certificate and he was automatically made the coucillor of the ward that had over 50 villages with less than 2000 population

This is the reason why the Northerners have vehemently refused an honest population census to avoid exposing this age long lies,.....there are more igbos in North East than any other geopolitical zone

They are too many to enumerate

Only Bali local Government in Taraba state has over 20 of such villages

Same with
Gombi lG and Jada LG in Adamawa state
Zaki LG Bauchi state
Hawul LG in Borno state

You haven't given us the name of any village with less than 100 people yet.
Every human who attended a school knows that a population of less than 100 is not a village, there are hamlets in villages, a collection of hamlets make a village, you can't see a hamlet formed one or two men to create space for farmlands and name it a village to justify some lame stories.

I said name a village with less than 100 people and you are naming Local govt, if I travel through a village with "less than 100", I will make sure I pick the name.

Northern Nigeria is more populated

Using ipob brain for obidient analysis and conclusion. It means you entered six states in a day, right? Let's just assume with you for a minute it is true, how many villages and harmlet did you visit in each northern state you visited because due to large land mass, population are dispersed and never concentrated in the capital I believed you visited in a hurry in hours if you entered plane? He just saw population in one street in the capital norther state he visited and started concluding. Only brains that believed buhari was cloned will digest this kind your narration

Na de Lamba wey Ahmadu Bello arrange with Oyinbo colonial masters in 1948 census.

It's pure politically manufactured LIES promoted repeatedly by HausafulaniKanuri Muslims North over the last 80 years.

1910 census figures showed Igbo had most population in Nigeria

It's not difficult to know inflated population
Check out the population density of places that have similar climate as North and South

Extrapolate and integrate to the area of North and South it should give you the likely population with a massive margin error of +- 30 % ... Even with that North seem far far over exaggerated

Mali and Burkina 23 million population
Niger 27 million . .
18 million for Chad
The whole northern Cameroon has a population less than 5 million

But northern Nigeria has more than 35 million people? Lmaooo

I agree with your definition of village but just know that many hamlets in North has few inhabitants in it, this is hardly found in the south east except in some cases of people in farming camps

Hamlets in the south are more closely situated than in the north, it's not a coincidence why north has more agricultural production than south.
Bigger land mass, bigger room for space between hamlets, in some societies in south, Hamlets are not existent because the proximity with one another automatically turns the inseparable hamlets to a whole village, that does not mean that the south has more population than the north, the numbers are exaggerated too but the north has more number.
