The sweet things we like hearing is why most of us fall for religious scam under unending hope, instead of us to work with realities. I also suspect some persons here may have promised some folks Asylum claim to PR via Visitor visa so they need to defend the narrative. Anybody wey go fall mugu for faceless Nairaland Visa agents, na him sabi. amnotapervert: |

Hi house, please I need your advice on this. I applied for my Canadian visitors visa about 3 months ago without any travel history, fast forward to this month, I travelled to Qatar and Kenya on tourist visa. Do you think I should raise a web form to update my travel history? My sister (a citizen) invited me and I think the travel history would be a plus |

Hiii, please did you include any other documents? like pay slips etc. OlaedoK: |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by OlaedoK: 11:47am On Dec 23, 2024 |
MsAnonymous:Hello, no I didn't include my payslips. Just my employment and promotion letters (which have information about my annual pay) and bank statements for the last 3 months. I merged both in a single doc and uploaded as proof of finances. Now, I am not remembering why I left out payslips - I usually include this in all my visa applications, so if you feel like it could improve your chances, please include it. |

Hello everyone, I recently received a denial for my visitor visa application. To understand the reason for the denial, I applied for my GCMS notes. However, upon reviewing the notes, I was disappointed to find that they didn't provide any specific reason for the denial, instead repeating the same generic response I received initially. Could anyone offer guidance on the next steps I should take? |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by funkyy598: 9:29pm On Dec 24, 2024 |
Sandzy:Firstly, you are not the first person IRCC has refused in this pattern, especially for tourist visas in 2024, where GCMS notes often lack detail. However, student visa refusals are usually more detailed but What type of visa did you apply for? Do you have family in Canada? Do you have travel experience? Personally, I have advised people with no family in Canada or strong travel history to take a break from applying for Canadian tourist visas until after the elections next year. However, if anyone still wants to proceed, they can try their luck. But be aware that GCMS notes for visit visas are often empty these days, and the refusal letters typically provide only generic explanations. |

GodGraceOnly:You can send email to IRCC offices in Lagos and Nairobi, and attach copies of the visas. lagosg@international.gc.ca nairobi@international.gc.ca Also, you can update them through webform, and upload copies of the visas. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 |

Just got a mall this morning morning asking me to submit police character certificate and tax clearance... Any body here know the reason for that. Please enlighten me |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by juliusriches: 8:58am On Dec 26, 2024 |
different44:I am sure you were given a deadline to submit the requested documents. If I were you, I would start the process of obtaining the documents to meet up with the deadline. As for the police character report, the VO wants to be sure you have no criminal records in your home country or maybe a country where you must have lived up to 6 months in the last five 5years. Then, the tax clearance is to further prove your employment status if you claim in your application that you are employed. This is a sign that your visa will be approved if the documents requested are provided timely. Goodluck! |

different44:You mentioned applying in October with your family, and two weeks ago you said you received a mail to upload your wife’s payslip even though she’s not the main applicant, but today public holiday you received a request for police character and tax clearance; however, on November 2, you mentioned an upcoming biometrics appointment, which contradicts your claim that biometrics were completed on October 4—so what type of visa did you apply for: visit, student, or PR? And did you applied urself or via an agent? |

Hello Bosses, Please for those who have been to Canada on a Visit or Tourist Visa, do they give free sim-card upon arrival or visitors have to buy the sim-card to be able to make calls and use the internet? Thanks |

sanyaolurilwan:No free simcard in canada, you have to buy to be able to call or internet service. |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by oluayebenz: 12:29pm On Dec 26, 2024 |
sanyaolurilwan:Nothing is free over here.... You pay for every damn thing |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ikiloba: 9:03pm On Dec 26, 2024 |
There is nothing free in Canada but you will receive a sim at the airport. Register it with your email account and every month you will pay 35- 45 CAD.. but you can use it for free if you are coming to stay temporarily. Just create a new email to register the sim and u can use it automatically without paying but if you want to keep the sim permanently you will pay a huge fine. Thanks sanyaolurilwan: |
