I have heard about arrest in Ibandan and Abuja I haven't heard anything in Anambra where almost 40 women died.

When it is time to organise high-profile, high-class events and owanbes for dignitaries, we always seem to ensure orderliness by deploying heavy security personnel and bouncers. Strict invitations and gate passes are also often used. So, why can’t the same measures be applied when organising events like this? To me, it reflects a broader disdain for the poor. How else can we get good photos for the gram without making the poor go through needless stress? We all know what we are doing.

You can’t simply go on the radio and television and announce open invitations and freebies for children or widows and expect orderliness, especially in a society dealing with unprecedented hunger and "palliativenisation" of our social fabric.

I am not sure which law might be applied against madam Prophetess even though this isn’t the first time we’ve witnessed something like this. Can never forget how the Nigerian Immigration Service invited 64,000 applicants to a 60,000-capacity stadium, killed seven people in the process and injured more than 50 others. Another government agency again organised another chaotic food distribution just this year that caused even more deaths. Yet none of the officers involved in these events were sacked or punished. They all retained their positions.

On this simple basis, madam Prophetess should be freed. If the government would not do anything about this problem at the policy level, then the poor must henceforth borrow themselves some sense. If you have to risk your life and push others to their death just to eat, then your problems are probably bigger than you ever imagined.

Ooni's ex-wife has been organising this programme for years. The Ihiala man has been organising same for years as well as the Abuja church.
Why did this year's own go wrong? Extreme poverty in the land. Is someone supposed to go and hire a battalion of soldiers in order to distribute rice to women and children?

Organizations of the events who did not put adequate safety precautions. In saner crimes, those people will charged with multiple manslaughter charges.
