Is Christ Really The Reason For The Season? You claim to be celebrating the birth of Christ, yet you wouldn't have had money to buy the Christmas clothes, rice and chicken which you used to celebrate it if you didn't steal it or defraud someone, so what has the birth of Christ to do with your celebrations? You claim to be celebrating Christmas, but the money meant to pay people's salaries was what you looted and used for your own selfish and self-centred celebration, so what has the birth of Christ got to do with it? You claim to be celebrating the birth of Christ, yet it's the money that someone borrowed you when you were direly in need, that instead of paying back the person as you promised, you're using it to celebrate Christmas, so what has Christ got to do with your celebrations? You claim to be celebrating the birth of Christ, yet you organized a Christmas party/carnival that resulted in people getting drunk and committing sexual immorality, so what has the birth of Christ got to do with your celebrations? You claim to be celebrating the birth of Christ, yet when you organized a feast you only invited your rich friends and neighbors who could recompense you later on, but not the poor and needy who wouldn't be able to recompense you, but were hungry and needed to partake of such a feast, so what has Christ got to do with your celebrations? Most people who claim to be celebrating the birth of Christ today, don't even care the least about Christ or what He stood for, if what they're doing in the process of the celebration has got anything to do with the purpose of His birth, so what has Christ's birth got to do with their Christmas celebration? God bless.

The hard truth is that the true spirit of Christmas has nothing to do with Christ but the devil, hence why iniquity abounds during the Christmas celebration more than any period or month of the calendar year. Although some innocently have the birth of Jesus in mind when they celebrate and do charity donations to the poor and needy, those are negligible compared to those whose Christmas celebrations has nothing to do with the birth of Christ but worldliness and self. Some Christmas celebration or activities are even hinged on the devil. Do you think the 3 incidents of deadly stampedes at various points across the nation in the space of a week in the name of giving paliatives to the hungry masses in the Christmas season was a coincidence? Right from when I was still a kid, I got to know that this is the period where humans were being used for rituals the most in a calendar year among other criminal activities that reach boiling point at this same time of the year, so we're warned to be more careful when we're approaching this period. This is the period of the year stealing is most because people want to buy stuff (wears, foodstuff, chicken etc.) or organize parties or carnivals for the Christmas season. That's how some wear stealing power cables because they wanted to buy Christmas clothes for their girlfriends this period a few years back. Someone was weeping a couple of days back about how her husband lost 250k in betting trying to get more money for Christmas. Earlier this week also someone stole the biggest of the 3 chickens my neighbor's been raising since April from chicks level. Such criminal and evil activities that reach its peak during the Christmas season, proves the real spirit behind Christmas. God bless. Modified: Just saw a front-page thread about a popular tiktoker who stole a pair of footwear's on Christmas day, just yesterday. https://www.nairaland.com/8301845/lady-accused-stealing-footwear-christmas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8GiTBRU7JQ There was one yesterday where the Christmas chicken of a pastor was stolen. https://www.nairaland.com/8301429/pastor-curses-person-stole-30k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SznGpEpS5Y0 The spirit of stealing that comes with every Christmas season is certainly not of Christ but of the devil, who comes not but to steal kill and destroy. John 10:10. God bless.

Even when I was yet a sinner celebrating Christmas, it was glaring that the spirit wasn't of Christ because it was self-centred, lustful covetous, immoral and worldly. What has Christ got to do with getting Christmas money, cloths, food, haircut, and attending/organising Christmas parties to consume upon my lusts? I stopped celebrating Christmas many years ago when it became glaring the spirit of Christmas wasn't of God. However because I celebrate Christ and the purpose of His birth, which is to save mankind from their sins, i have to seize every opportunity to preach the Gospel of Christ, including the Christmas season when many claim to be celebrating the birth of Christ. God bless. |

It's because the celebration of Christmas and New Year's Day both have roots in ancient Roman pagan traditions, although they were adapted and transformed significantly over time by Christian influences, but Satan still controls it 1. Christmas and the Roman Pagan Origins: Christmas, celebrated on December 25th, aligns closely with ancient Roman pagan festivals that celebrated the winter solstice and the return of the sun. Here are some key pagan roots: Sol Invictus (The Unconquered Sun): The most direct influence on Christmas is the Roman festival of Sol Invictus, which celebrated the "Unconquered Sun." This was a holiday dedicated to the sun god, celebrated on December 25th, during the winter solstice. The idea was that after the solstice, the days would grow longer, marking the return of the sun and the triumph of light over darkness. Saturnalia: Another major Roman festival, Saturnalia, was held in mid-December (December 17-23). It was a time of feasting, gift-giving, and revelry, where social norms were temporarily overturned. Slaves were treated as equals to their masters, and there was a general spirit of merrymaking and celebration. Many aspects of Saturnalia, such as gift-giving, feasting, and decorations, were incorporated into Christmas celebrations. Other Influences: The celebration of the solstice and the symbolic importance of light in the darkness were themes that Christians would later adopt to represent the birth of Jesus Christ, often depicted as the "light of the world." 2. New Year's Day and the Roman Pagan Origins: New Year's Day, celebrated on January 1st, also has its roots in Roman pagan traditions: The Roman New Year (Kalends of January): January 1st was the day of the Kalends, the first day of the month in the Roman calendar. The month of January was named after Janus, the Roman god of beginnings, transitions, and doorways. Janus had two faces: one looking forward to the future, and one looking back to the past. The beginning of the year was thus a time for reflection and making resolutions, a practice that continues today. The Celebration of Janus: On the Kalends of January, Romans would honor Janus with rituals meant to ensure a smooth transition into the new year. This included offering sacrifices and engaging in prayers for a prosperous year ahead. Later Christian Influence: As Christianity spread through the Roman Empire, January 1st became the feast day of Mary, Mother of God, in the Christian liturgical calendar. However, the customs of celebrating the new year and making resolutions persisted. Summary of Pagan Influences: Christmas: Rooted in Roman festivals such as Sol Invictus and Saturnalia, focused on the winter solstice, the return of the sun, and themes of rebirth and renewal. New Year's Day: Tied to the Roman Kalends of January and the worship of Janus, symbolizing new beginnings and transitions, which later became a day of Christian observance. Both holidays were shaped by pre-Christian Roman customs, which were then absorbed and adapted by early Christian traditions as the church sought to convert pagan populations. By ChatGPT |

God Almighty of the Original Torah in the first Temple in Jerusalem is the only True God. The original Torah is one and final and has no New Testament fake storybooks though there are some wisdom to learn from these storybooks in the New Testament. It was the Roman empire that invented Christmas and New Year from the not original second Torah in the not original Second Temple to replace their pagan celebrations. |

MaxInDHouse:Jesus Christ was only gentle because of the Roman empire occupation so he had to follow the laws of the Roman empire to be peaceful to the Romans. Jesus Christ even told his apostles to buy a sword but the fear of the Romans made him to tell them to put it away. But Jesus was not gentle with his own teachers of the law who taught them the constitution of the Jews. Even Peter was not gentle with Ananias and Sapphira over their own money, but the fear of the Romans made them gentle and when it comes to using the storybooks of the new Testament to control the gullible they pretend to be gentle. |

At some point in our life God decided to strip himself of his divine form and appear in a form like you and I to liberate us from the oppression of the devil and darkness The world hated him because they loved their dark ways But it was all according to his plan because it birthed believers , and christians This believers and Christians decided to pick out a day to celebrate and remember this remarkable occurence by showing love and having a love feast with themselves , families, neighbors and poor in the society It is now world wide celebrated holiday And everyone celebrates which is actually welcomed and beautiful But being a Christian believer isn’t an outward practice but an inward and spiritual practice that is between you and God So instead of the complaining pray that more souls will become conscious of the truth and walk In accordance to it Cheers and merry Christmas sir Even me way Dey talk |

MindHacker9009:If you don't understand certain things just ask to get the accurate knowledge not just cherry picking what you want to use as yardstick. If Jesus commanded the sea but you only focus on his admonition about seeking peace. I told you that the sword he was talking about is not literal because he said each of them needs it so how can two be "enough" for eleven men? ![]() |

MaxInDHouse:You mean the sea and the character in the storybook. The disciples then responded, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” And Jesus replied, “It is enough. To you this is literal since it's from a storybook. |

The whole purpose of Christianity is control. They do that by controlling your time. And whoever controls your time, controls you... They create special days as holidays for you and tell you what to do in it... Get out of the matrix... |
