The sweet things we like hearing is why most of us fall for religious scam under unending hope, instead of us to work with realities.

I also suspect some persons here may have promised some folks Asylum claim to PR via Visitor visa so they need to defend the narrative. Anybody wey go fall mugu for faceless Nairaland Visa agents, na him sabi.

amnotapervert:
Even countries like Germany and the USA have strict immigration systems.

I've run the numbers for Canada, the USA, and Germany, and the facts speak for themselves.

If I had time I would do more countries.

You told me not to flood the group with links and data, but I’m glad you at least acknowledge that facts are facts

And FACTS doesn’t care about anyone’s feelings.

The problem is, most people don’t want to work with facts and statistics, which I enjoy analyzing.

Deep down, you know it’s the truth, but you hate having to face it.

Many people prefer listening to "Facebook visa agents" who promise that *everything* is possible.

For instance, someone recently claimed you could convert a visitor’s visa into a work visa as at 4 days ago

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=8853103864758669&id=100001774308669

Honestly, I’ve been thinking about becoming a "Facebook visa agent" 🤣🤣 myself!

Nigerians love hearing sweet nothings, and I could make a fortune. I’d flash my Canadian passport, promise them the world, and laugh my way to the bank. 💸💸💸

But seriously, I know firsthand the damage these "Facebook agents" have done to my friends.

I’ve seen asylum claims denied in Germany and the USA. Living in Canada, I’m well aware of the immigration realities.

Here’s the truth about entering Canada with a visitor’s visa:

1. You can’t stay more than six months per entry, even if your visa is valid for 10 years.

2. You can’t work legally with a visitor’s visa.

3. You can’t convert a visitor’s visa into a work visa.

4. For Nigerians, asylum claims have a 39–45% chance of approval under Justin Trudeau’s government.

If this offends you, here’s a suggestion: follow a "Facebook visa agent" who will tell you what you want to hear.

https://www.facebook.com/100083193287574/

Or revisit the link above—I know you don’t like facts, but they’re there for a reason.

Go for a licensed immigration consultant
Fun fact in the whole of Nigeria we have only 6 license immigration consultant for 🇨🇦 and only 1 in Lagos 🤣🤣👀 ( they will say I have come with my links)

Hi house, please I need your advice on this. I applied for my Canadian visitors visa about 3 months ago without any travel history, fast forward to this month, I travelled to Qatar and Kenya on tourist visa. Do you think I should raise a web form to update my travel history? My sister (a citizen) invited me and I think the travel history would be a plus
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ikiloba: 7:26pm On Dec 21, 2024
You can inform them about your recent travels

(1) Don't use Agent ( you are likely to get more information here and you will avoid visa ban
Because I don't understand how an unlicensed agent will be holding your login details 😂😂🤦🏾‍♂️)

(2) Be truthful if you qualify for the visa you will get it but remember it's a VV it has limits

(3) Make sure you have a good amount of POF
family member: $14,690
2 family members: $18,288
3 family members: $22,483
4 family members: $27,297

or source of income remember they assume a visitor "coming for a conference" will spend $300 a day so make sure you have nothing less than
50,000,000 naira.

Hotel accommodation is already min $150
Uber is $100 a day.
Food is crazy

Let it show the money coming and going and a good balance and proof you got the money from business or work

IRCC want someone that will come and spend money in the country for the fee weeks the person will be around

(4) You can't change your VV to Work Visa so die that idea. No miracle will happen

(5) If you want to claim asylum when entering the country your Case processing time is 2 years min and by then the conservation party will be in power and we know they are in for business so die that idea 💡.

(6) Things are difficult in the country so come with a plan to maximize your stay.. if you are looking to do marriage die that idea IRCC isn't joking 🇨🇦 have changed their minds on immigration. Read the story of Festus Odua and many others

(7) IRCC are looking at people with family members who are PR or citizens better chance of you have a family member that can stand in for you saying yes I want to visit my brother or sister

Better if they have same surname will save you the stress of rejection

Hiii, please did you include any other documents? like pay slips etc.

OlaedoK:
I have a valid US visa and in the new portal, it asked for "Proof of financial support" (I submitted bank statements). I also included a self introduction/cover letter (with an overview of my travel plans) and employment + promotion letters. I forgot to add my full itinerary but I believe that can be helpful too. For a safe balance to have, I'm not sure. Someone here recommended budgeting at least $300/day. So maybe a little over that, prorated for 7 days will be good enough.

Hello, no I didn't include my payslips. Just my employment and promotion letters (which have information about my annual pay) and bank statements for the last 3 months. I merged both in a single doc and uploaded as proof of finances. Now, I am not remembering why I left out payslips - I usually include this in all my visa applications, so if you feel like it could improve your chances, please include it.

Hello everyone,

I recently received a denial for my visitor visa application. To understand the reason for the denial, I applied for my GCMS notes. However, upon reviewing the notes, I was disappointed to find that they didn't provide any specific reason for the denial, instead repeating the same generic response I received initially.

Could anyone offer guidance on the next steps I should take?

Firstly, you are not the first person IRCC has refused in this pattern, especially for tourist visas in 2024, where GCMS notes often lack detail. However, student visa refusals are usually more detailed but What type of visa did you apply for? Do you have family in Canada? Do you have travel experience?

Personally, I have advised people with no family in Canada or strong travel history to take a break from applying for Canadian tourist visas until after the elections next year. However, if anyone still wants to proceed, they can try their luck. But be aware that GCMS notes for visit visas are often empty these days, and the refusal letters typically provide only generic explanations.

You can send email to IRCC offices in Lagos and Nairobi, and attach copies of the visas.

lagosg@international.gc.ca

nairobi@international.gc.ca

Also, you can update them through webform, and upload copies of the visas.

I am sure you were given a deadline to submit the requested documents. If I were you, I would start the process of obtaining the documents to meet up with the deadline.

As for the police character report, the VO wants to be sure you have no criminal records in your home country or maybe a country where you must have lived up to 6 months in the last five 5years. Then, the tax clearance is to further prove your employment status if you claim in your application that you are employed. This is a sign that your visa will be approved if the documents requested are provided timely. Goodluck!

You mentioned applying in October with your family, and two weeks ago you said you received a mail to upload your wife’s payslip even though she’s not the main applicant, but today public holiday you received a request for police character and tax clearance; however, on November 2, you mentioned an upcoming biometrics appointment, which contradicts your claim that biometrics were completed on October 4—so what type of visa did you apply for: visit, student, or PR? And did you applied urself or via an agent?

Hello Bosses,

Please for those who have been to Canada on a Visit or Tourist Visa, do they give free sim-card upon arrival or visitors have to buy the sim-card to be able to make calls and use the internet?

Thanks

Nothing is free over here....

You pay for every damn thing
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ikiloba: 9:03pm On Dec 26, 2024
There is nothing free in Canada but you will receive a sim at the airport. Register it with your email account and every month you will pay 35- 45 CAD.. but you can use it for free if you are coming to stay temporarily. Just create a new email to register the sim and u can use it automatically without paying but if you want to keep the sim permanently you will pay a huge fine. Thanks
