Their own sole aim is to keep Igboland balkanized.
For the Yorubas, it's important because they want Nigeria to stay one and they feel Igbos will not want to leave if our people in Rivers and Delta are left behind, they also enjoy the oil wealth of those regions and feel the only way this continues is if they keep them away from the Igbo of SE.
