I guess you are referring to the US because the NHS in the UK is free by and large, although the waiting list could be long depending on the treatment required.

@Topic, the OP is being mischievous, as someone already pointed out this is likely the payslip for the person's second job.

No legitimate deductions would lead to any of the payslips you see above.

Deductions as seen could be a number of reasons. The main one is they have collected advanced payment on their salary and I doubt any company will give you 100% salary advance. The system generally expects you to use your credit cards or bank overdraft.

In all likelyhood these are either fake payslips or they are working through a scam agency that is deducting other fees from their salaries. For instance maybe they brought them to the UK under some illegal scheme and they are deducting certain fees from their payslips every month. This is illegal.


A legitimate UK payslip will itemize every deduction including national insurance etc. furthermore, although it has been long I worked in the UK, I do know that your taxable pay and pensionable pay are never the same. Your taxable pay is always less than your gross pay because your taxable pay is net of tax free allowance. Finally these are not how payslips look in the UK. I have never had a payslip that looked like it was produced by Microsoft excel or word. Below is how a typical Uk payslip looks like.

Like I said I suspect this are fake payslips or a scam agency exploiting illegal Nigerians.

Your basic is around £20. ( hourly rate). Now for you to earn that low, these are the possible factors
1. That job is definitely a second job
2. Your tax code is an emergency tax code.
3. You must have violated certain HMR rules which has landed you on a heavy fine.
4. you are not mobile so your employer has deducted transport.
5. In summary, you don't have a personal document yet.
If all these factors are not true, then this post is sponsored by the UK government to discourage people from coming over.
So my people if you are sure of getting document when you arrive, please japa without a second thought.

This is most likely a second job, and he only ran a shift for the month at the job hence, the tax…

He did not declare the payslip for his main job!

Firstly UK doesn't tax you.. or make any deduction on shift below 20hr
Secondly you said 8 hrs shift. Meaning is just one day? Nobody tax on just one day shift..
I worked 20hrs weekly and no tax.. nor deduction

I don't know the kind of work they do and the rate of pay per hour but it can't be this bad....

I earn 14.28 per hour and work 9hrs weekly.
After all deductions.... My take home daily is over 100 pounds as shown in the attachment.
Again, what those people have shown is totally false...
UK tax is high and it's progressive but it's not as bad as alot of people are making it look.

A bank manager in big banks and directors in multinationals are comfortably collecting more than $9k per month here in Nigeria.
