Software Engineer Criticizes Verydarkman (VDM) Over Account Hack Claim and Missing ₦180M

An acclaimed Senior Software Engineer has criticized Verydarkman (VDM), a popular social media commentator and activist, over claims that his account was hacked and ₦180 million stolen.

According to the engineer, who stated that he has been in the field for over 15 years, VDM’s assertion that his website was hacked and ₦180 million stolen is highly improbable. He added that unless someone had deliberately set VDM up, it is difficult to see how such a large sum of money could be moved from his account following a website hack.

This issue has sparked mixed reactions on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, now owned by Elon Musk.

I said this on the other thread. It should be the problem of the bank and its not just something you come online to carry about

NGO accounts are corporate accounts. You need either a hardware token or soft token to transact on corporate accounts.

So first of all... What was hacked? NGO website or Bank account...

If its NGO website like he claimed... It's a lie!

If it's the NGO's corporate account.. Then he has to explain how the hackers got the OTP to transfer dujds out of the account

They don't need o go through your website to hack you, as long as they have control of your laptop or phone you can be easily hacked .. A very simple way is someone sending him petition by email , attached to the email is a pdf which is a disguise for other things ... Treat your device as a public tool, for someone with that amount of money, you should have an account that has zero electronic transfer except a cheque is presented, and may be a small one for transfer, but not withstanding you should be able to monitor both electronically ...Shey your brain no tell you to set limit for your account .

If you know the advance rigorous process of authorizing an API enabled authentication- transactions,
U will know it is technically not possible without his programmer’s hand in it,
He has the SHA512 encryption secrete KEY(both public live secrete keys) for authentication and authorization.
More so, there must be a transaction processing cap.
And transaction limits.
that amount is hug to go through without checks, and it’s also traceable.
He can follow the transaction trails using all the successful transaction session ID’s
There must be a check mechanism for most top tier
Aggregate Service Providers over multiple transactions.
So it’s technically not possible,
But let him prove us wrong.
