I still do not understand how some Nigerians reason. Pls what do you mean by procedure? I’m sure you didn’t read the article or you lack comprehension. Did you read the part where people threw their children over the fence as early as 4am for an event that was slated for 10am? Such parents should be arrested and not Naomi. Their greed and desperation caused the death of their children and not the organizers. I learnt some people went as far as renting other people’s children. Some came with 4 children. Nigerians and their over Sabo and over smart mentality. Common, Naomi has no fault. If the useless and senseless parents can’t protect their own children and now passing the blame on the organizers. That’s always the issues with Nigerians, NEVER accepting their mistakes but looking for whom to pass the blame. I can never be that careless and jeopardize the life of my children because of N5k. Pls let’s call a spade a spade, the parents should be blamed.
you’re a fool to think I will read all this rubbish how many people threw there children through the fencehuh 1000 and if procedure was in place will that happenhuhoga go get sense no enter this new year with this dumb brain it won’t take you far 🤡 no matter what happen In that venue the organizers are to be blame so if everybody went well people won’t hail them huh So when it went bad people should look away 🤡 no be one die na 34 which you had someone close to you among

None of the bereaved parents have complained so far. The police is obviously doing something right.

Her only fault if it's really a fault is trying to do the work Of the government. It's the responsibility of the government to help her citizens to stay alive by providing means of sustenance especially medical and food.

There's poverty written in most Nigerian faces, there is hunger in Nigeria and people are 1000times or more desperate to fight, struggle to get anything called palliatives by the government, NGO or ordinary citizens like Naomi issue.

She did nothing wrong here as far s I know except there's something else the authority aren't telling us.

In this country Nigeria, always be very careful before you help or render a free service to anybody especially a large population of people.

Most Nigerian are very ungrateful people. Even if the event had gone well without any issues. The ungrateful lots called citizens will still come up and say something nasty to the organizers.

Some would say she's using the yearly event to make sacrifice to her gods etc.....

If you are wealthy and you need to help people, go to a church or mosque and donate or go to orphanage or widows association and donate whatsoever. Don't get involved in how they distribute or who they gathered together to give.

Whatever you do as a rich person, let it be between you and your God that you worship.

I am still saying it, most Nigerians are very ungrateful people, always ready to reward good with evil.
That is exactly my perspective. Most Nigerians are wicked beyond what words can say. She erred by feeding a people, most of whom plunged themselves into poverty by voting a wicked man into power. She could've gone to Dubai with the money she wasted feeding ingrates. Now cowards that cannot stand up to their thieving leaders are calling for her head

You should also remember to tell him that human meat too is not forbidden in Islam if there is no other choice than death!

The internet is the problem of your religion! Are you not permitted to the killing and eating of apostates and infidels for food, where there is a perceived need?

Honestly, this country don tire me. How do they expect the organizers to control the greed and desperation of hungry and careless parents who threw their children over the fence as early as 4am for an event that was slated for 10am. Majority of these people where the ones shouting emilokan up and down because of religion and ethnicity.

This is an experience for others to learn how to deduce instructions and follow guidelines when organising events.

- Advertisement is very important including terms and conditions to it. If possible total numbers of person expected should be stated for the building capacity.
- Proper paper works with the representative of government authority within the jurisdictions and involvement of legal adviser.
- Registration can be done online. It should be stated strictly for the residence of Ibadan only. It becomes first come, first serve. After attaining the total numbers expected. The portal should be closed. You come to the venue with the online number assigned to you.

May God in His infinity mercy grant the queen and the organisers who are in the prison custody freedom.

Madam,,
Your daughter is no longer the wife of the OONI.
She divorced him on social media.
Your daughter divorced a god,,a deity, the custodian of the Yoruba race on Social media. She don enter kasala u now wanna seek the good face of the OONI. Even if the OONI uses his influence,,it's a privilege enjoyed and not a Right!!
Even though her intentions were good, the law must take it's course. Lives were lost.
Some people will mourn into the new year.
We should not be sentimental
allow them she left the home of a first class yoruba king ,not just that, she did it on social media and she think she can organise funfair in Ibadan.

Well, it was a good gesture but she shouldn't have invited 5,000 kids that would be accompanied by another 5,000 parents when there was no capacity to manage 10,000 crowd of people. Same thing goes for that of Anambra state and Abuja organisers

she should be released.

she probably tried to do for the masses for once, and shun I am high class attitude. Then due to hunger and hopelessness, people that were probably walking corpses, unfortunately met irreversible tragedy.

she probably was trying to do good and at the same time boost her social media activity, then this unfortunate situation occured.

My questions are:

were they more videos of the event and the start of the stampede? from the crowd perspective.

where was the host at this time? and what was her actions before and during the sharing processes.

Did the organizers have crowd control staffs at this event? or it was just another anyhow kyn thing.

I know the useless Nigerian security forces will not use wisdom in assessing the situation properly. They are going to be busy siphoning and diverting any finances the lady has. They will just be childish about the whole thing.

I pray that the igbo nation will be more humane to it's people under her care.

I also pray that God strengthens and Protects this lady during these times. Because we all know that Nigeria is too archaic and very immature, to be civilized and level headed for a strong case as this.

Her useless ex, is just that, useless, and seems to be very insecure of himself. A small minded person.

I trust Oriyomi, the innocent man would take fate and plan way forward.
Very much justified. 35 people can't just die like without holding some people responsible even if the court is going to acquit them. They just have to say what they knew that about it, that's all.

Stop embarrassing your family again . Your points are damn headless, doesn't make sense on bit. Come to think of it, do you go to school at all? Did you ever learn how to spell correctly and put your tenses correctly in paragraphs.

An illiterate like you should at least have someone that could help you write sensibly by dictating to him. Stupid man. No full stops. No comma, no semi colon....just writing like a mad man that has lost control of his senses or a trailer that has failed brake.....son of a dog....

It was just an unfortunate accident.

The kids are meant to die that time!
The kids are not meant to die that time, that's a fallacy. Nigerians no deh follow safeguarding principles and do things anyhow. Most of the road accidents that do happen in Nigeria and claim many lives is because we don't follow road safety regulations. See the way unqualified people are been granted drivers license in Nigeria. Before you get a drivers license in the UK, your eye go see shege, nothing like man no man, that's why accidents there are reduced to the nearest minimum unlike in Nigeria.

From what I have heard and read from the reports currently available, within the limits of what is reasonable the organisers did their part, however the attitude of many of our people, the desperation in the land, and the lack of personal accountability caused this stampede, parents put their children in arms way, why should a parent be passing their kids over a wall.

The place was at capacity but people still want to struggle to get in.

The incident happened at 6am why were people observing a vigil for an programme scheduled for 10am
Re: Ooni’s Ex-Queen, Naomi Silekunola On Hunger Strike In Agodi Prison, Says Mother by hotseat: 8:59am On Dec 28, 2024
A supposedly kind, communal and sisterly gesture gone awry!

The ex-Queen is reported to have been reaching out to the needy and the less privileged over the years without this kind of unforseen calamity.

And now, this!

Chai!

Make person good no turn to bad o!

It reminds one of the saying that "men's evil deeds are written on brass, the good ones are written on water. When I'm right no one remembers, when I'm wrong no one forgets".

Na so the world be!

The pain of losing one's child is simply indescribable and my heart goes out to the bereaved families.

However, let's temper justice with mercy by forgiving Naomi.

It wasn't intentional!

To err is human, to forgive is divine!
