She should come home o.....come and enjoy the peaceful T.pain policy we are enjoying here. Probably she travelled during Buhari era and now she's considering coming back. Tell her that Doctors are in short demand in Nigeria cos most of the doctors have Japa. Her coming will be a blessing to the hospitals that needs doctors but on low wages. Hope she can manage at least 150 to 200k monthly as a doctor o.......Please quickly tell her to come ....Our numerous General Hospitals needs her urgently on salary scale of 150 to 250k monthly.....

Story. Only you talk about closing your company...the same you still looking for a job for over 4 months and you claim to be a doctor. I just feel like this lady is just catching cruise. Tell her to come and start the farm work in Nigeria now....you won't hear from her again. Don't believe everything you read online.
It's the idiot that open the thread that's the problem, he or she is part of a propaganda campaign.

To enjoy Nigeria you need to connected, when I say connected I don't mean Knowing on big man. In terms of contracts and executing work for FG or companies with deep pocket. Outside that it just pure suffer head, I know how many calls I get every day for job or one looking for small gig.

Uk economy fits majority of Nigerians who just want opportunities to survive, I get uk passport and I am in Nigeria. When I need to clear head I go for month and return.

Those who try to deceive others with useless post like these are wicked. If anyone have the opportunity they should fvcking leave.

Medical doctors are in high demand in Europe,UK inclusive, wonder why she hasn't gotten a job for four months.

There are some things she's not telling us.

sad Humn! What would have made a medical doctor to have this kind of feeling? Life no longer comfortable in the UK? Not all that glitters is always gold o. The grass is not always greener on the other side.
But Dr. Ogechi already has her British passport, still have better options in Australia, Gulf countries etc.😎

That's #5.1m a month. This is a low earner óò. Nigeria is gone
He's under studying, more like under training. And he's around Newcastle tyne area which is up north. Assuming it's south the pay with be lot higher.
Once he's certification or credentials are cleared he will be posted to a hospital.

There are many questions left unanswered!

Why was she was placed on company tax before she converted to PAYE? What company was she operating? Why did the company fail? What were her source(s) of finance or financial situation when she started the company? Did she ever make any returns or did she file for annual returns? (If the company operated for more than a year). Etc. did she come with her family? Is she married with husband here, etc.

UK could be challenging for new migrants, but at the long run (with perseverance) most people pull through.

In fact this is the first medical doctor that I know that is complaining about UK.

Uk too sweet for medical doctors. NHS dey find doctors like kilode…

Please don’t be discouraged.

Fiscus105:
Many of our nurses there are doing nurse assistant but since everyone back home know they have relocated, they have no option than to continue their health-care services instead of proper nursing.

No thanks to exchange rate that also favours them.
It's just the exchange rate nothing more.If exchange rate to gbp is even #700 at least 40% of Nigerians in the UK won't find it attractive.

To Japa is not a bad thing, but if you put yourself under unnecessary pressure of selling of your valuable properties and acquire loans with ridiculous terms you are going find it hard to settle down in the UK without mental and sometimes physical breakdown.

Don't mind her ... and she's paying income tax when there's supposed to be no income.

So many people have shared their struggles about living in the UK. It's not heaven.

So she must have been earning money as a contractor but not putting money aside for her tax bill ,so she was not 100 percent truthful in her story . From what I see she is a Locum Doctor , contractor so she might be getting long contracts .but nevertheless you must out money aside for Tax what you have earned as it will come to bite you .

Nazgul:
I saw where she added income tax to the list of her debt profile. Is it possible for a person to be charged for income tax even when it's obvious that you're yet to secure a job?

I keep telling people that the UK is overcrowded. I know dozens of people who rushed there and are currently doing their second masters because they couldn't secure a job.

Nigerian land area is bigger than the UK. And the UK has people from all over the world trooping there for greener pastures. You can imagine how crammed up it's going to be.

She's being clever by half.
She left so many things unsaid.
Is she qualified to work as a medical doctor in the UK?
Is her migration status regular or irregular?
Yes, new migrants struggle in the UK but for a doctor to reach an hopeless state,
something is amiss.
Re: Ogechi Sylvia Eze; UK - Based Nigerian Medical Doctor Considers Returning Home, by Yankee101: 10:34am On Dec 28, 2024
She is making money
She’s working. Locum. But as Part time doctor in different hospitals.
They’re all looking for NHS jobs or stable paying jobs
She was working using her company name and collecting all the salary and not paying tax at source but waiting to pay later so she enjoyed the money and didn’t set it aside. It’s the tax owed that broke her back. Tens of thousands of pounds wey she don chop already

You are correct, she lied on paying jncome tax, one cannot pay income tax without income, you see? Some of these social media attention seekers tell so much lies just for attention.

Why did she not stay on PAYE in the first place?

Until we see her farming in her village all these rubbish are still attention seeking.

Yes, you are totally correct, the UK is jammed packed with doctors, nurses and other medical proffessionals from India, Pakistan, Naigerria, Philipine, Thailand and Cambodia seeking for work.

Attention seeking, until we see her farming in Naigeeria she is just seekinh social media attention. That one should not have wasted her time been a doctor she should have been on ticktock making fake videos.

Income tax? undecided how can one pay income tax without income? Total lie!

She should have stayed on PAYE in the first place. She should not be trying to find work as a self employed doctor that is why she could not find work, that is if she is telling the truth.

Doctor is not lucrative job anymore, not like years ago. Infact, women showing their vaginas on social media makes more money nowadays. Besides, most most go online to diagnose themselves thesedays, even these so called doctors look up illnesses/diagnoses online too.

One time, I and one other guy had to deliver a baby before paramedics arrived when one woman went into labour at the bus stop, something i have never xperienced ever before. what the midwives did was just guide us on what to do over the phone. We kept saying No! We can't do it! The midwives said yes! You can! Just listen carefully! Luckily a woman joined us. It was bizzare. embarassed
