Beuberry:Yes, the woman is speaking the truth and even Nigeria law is against homosexuality, lesbianism and bestiality. In Nigeria, the Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act of 2014 is a federal law that prohibits same-sex relationships, same-sex marriage, and gay rights. The law also criminalizes public displays of same-sex affection. Key Provisions of the Law 1. Prohibition of same-sex marriage: The law prohibits the marriage of persons of the same sex. 2. Criminalization of same-sex relationships: The law makes it a crime for persons of the same sex to engage in a romantic or sexual relationship. 3. Prohibition of gay rights: The law prohibits the registration of gay clubs, societies, and organizations. 4. Criminalization of public displays of same-sex affection: The law makes it a crime for persons of the same sex to engage in public displays of affection. Penalties for Offenses 1. Up to 14 years imprisonment: Persons convicted of entering into a same-sex marriage or relationship may be sentenced to up to 14 years imprisonment. 2. Fine: Persons convicted of promoting or supporting same-sex relationships or marriage may be fined. Bestiality Laws Nigeria's Criminal Code Act of 1990 prohibits bestiality, which is defined as sexual intercourse with an animal. The law states that any person who has carnal knowledge of an animal is guilty of a felony and liable to imprisonment for up to 14 years. State Laws Some states in Nigeria have enacted their own laws prohibiting same-sex relationships and bestiality. For example, the Shariah Penal Code in some northern states prescribes harsher penalties for same-sex relationships, including death by stoning. |

bartdece:Stop displaying your ignorance in this public forum. You talk without thinking, as a Nigerian she is: it is her business to speak against gay and lesbian practice; that is the reason she is speaking out against homosexuality and lesbianism. The Nigeria Government have criminalize homosexual and lesbianism practice in Nigeria, so anyone still practicing homosexual and lesbianism in Nigeria is committing criminal offence and it is the duty of Nigerians to report criminal offence anywhere it is been committed in Nigeria. |
