Please I've been trying to create a steam account with my email but am getting this error Please disconnect from VPNs or proxies and try again. Note: I am not using any proxy or VPN.

For PC In the search bar of your operating system, type 'Network Connections'. Select 'View Network Connections' Select your VPN icon, and click on 'disable' |

Mine just worked. Here's what I did: 1. Installed UC turbo on my android phone. 2. Disconnected from my WiFi which is running via MTN. 3. Used mobile data on my android device (9mobile) to enter the Steam website using UC turbo, it didn't load CAPTCHA. Just kept reloading log-in page when I submitted. So I switched over to Chrome. 4. I attempted to create the account. It still didn't work. They said my CAPTCHA was wrong (even though it was right, according to the CAPTCHA). 5. So the log-in page reloaded for me to try again. I tried again and it worked this time. They sent a verification link to my email address. That's it. I have a steam account now. Sometimes it's because your IP address is tagged as suspicious so it may not work for you. Change the network you're using to browse the site and use UC turbo. NOTE: If UC turbo doesn't load the CAPTCHA for you, Chrome works too. You can check your IP fraud score at scamalytics.com/ip. 2 Likes |

Ok, the solution is to simply use a 9mobile line. Airtel and MTN are Blacklisted. You can try other non casted networks. |

Okay here’s what worked for me, cos I tried all of the above and the problem remained unsolved. It’s quite a long process but it works! I recall Android has an extra implemented feature to activate a “work Profile”. It is generated by apps like “Island” or “shelter”. You can install almost every app on it, thus having double of any app and those apps from the work-profile are labeled with a little briefcase-icon. Note that this is different from clone apps used to clone multiple accounts per app. I didn’t want to use DualSpace from the google store, might work fine, but I’m not sure how safe the app is. I was wondering if there is a similar solution on the F-Droid store, and I found this two Shelter: https://f-droid.org/packages/net.typeblog.shelter Island: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.oasisfeng.island.fdroid/ You can only use one. I used Shelter app. 1. First download and install, then clone Play store to work profile. 2. Launch Play store, setup and download UC Turbo. 3. Launch UC Turbo and visit Steam site to create your account. 4. You’ll receive a confirmation email, ‘click and hold’ on ‘verify my email address’ to copy the link embedded. 5. Head to UC Turbo (work profile), open a new tab, paste link and load. Your email will be confirmed and you’re good to go! |

2025 here. Uc turbo is not available for my phone. Seems it's no more available for higher andriod versions. Still haven't found a solution yet |
