I’ve noticed some recurring complaints about your manner of approach. If there’s truth to it, digging deep and adjusting your strategy could eliminate any room for criticism. This particular complaint has been around for a while, so it’s worth addressing.

We’re all different, with unique ways of expressing ourselves. As a businessman, it’s important to meet people where they are. For example, if a customer haggles, it’s not a crime, it might just be all they can afford. You could politely let them know the price doesn’t work for now but that you’ll keep them in mind for future deals. Even if you think they’re wasting your time, the energy spent yelling could just as easily be used to decline politely. Trust me, some will come back ready to pay when they’re able.

I know how frustrating it can get, and keeping calm isn’t always easy. If possible, hiring someone to handle new prospects could free you up to focus on your loyal customers. You’re a good and considerate person, just make sure everyone sees it, not just a few.
